Hugh Jackman and Laura Dern hit the red carpet together for the premiere of their new movie, The Son, during the 2022 Venice Film Festival on Wednesday (September 7) in Venice, Italy.

The two actors joined Vanessa Kirby and Zen McGrath at the premiere event, along with director Florian Zeller. Hugh‘s wife, Deborra-Lee Furness, was also seen on the red carpet.

Following the screening of the movie, there was a 10 minute standing ovation for the cast there.

In a video that is on social media, they are seen taking several bows as the crowd cheered.

The Son centers on a family as it struggles to reunite after falling apart: Peter (Jackman), whose hectic life with his infant and new partner Emma (Kirby) is upended when his ex-wife Kate (Dern) appears with their son Nicholas (McGrath), who is now a teenager. The young man has been missing from school for months and is troubled, distant, and angry.

Peter strives to take care of Nicholas as he would have liked his own father to have taken care of him. While juggling work, his and Beth’s new baby, and the offer of his dream position in Washington, he loses sight of how to hold onto Nicholas in the present.

Brad Pitt waves while out and about in Venice, Italy during the 2022 Venice Film Festival on Wednesday (September 7).

The 58-year-old Bullet Train star was photographed holding some sort of musical instrument in a black case and smiled for a photo while walking across a bridge.

He was dressed casually in a red t-shirt and burgundy joggers. Brad added a pop of color with rainbow-striped tennis shoes. A gold necklace with a medallion was tucked into his shirt.

Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem are wrapping up their time at the 2022 Venice Film Festival.

The couple were seen at the airport together in Venice, Italy on Wednesday (September 7).

Penelope, 48, wore a sparkly black blouse and printed jeans, pairing the look with a gold Chanel belt and black bag. Javier, 53, kept things casual in a gray t-shirt, jeans and sneakers.

Zooey Deschanel and Casey Affleck are stepping out to support their new movie.

The 42-year-old actress and the 37-year-old actor were seen arriving at the photo call for Dreamin’ Wild at the 2022 Venice Film Festival on Wednesday (September 7) in Venice, Italy.

The pair were joined by their co-stars Walton Goggins, Jack Dylan Grazer, Noah Jupe and Beau Bridges, as well as director Bill Pohlad.

Dreamin’ Wild is a biographical drama that follows musical duo Donnie (Casey) and Joe Emerson (Walton) as they spend everything they have to produce a record in the 1970s.

Casey was seen arriving in Venice alongside his girlfriend Caylee Cowan earlier this week and you can see all the photos here.

Christoph Waltz and Willem Dafoe buddy up on the red carpet for the premiere of their movie, Dead For A Dollar, during the 2022 Venice Film Festival on Tuesday (September 6) in Venice, Italy.

The two actors met up with co-stars Rachel Brosnahan, Benjamin Bratt, and Luis Chávez, along with their director, Walter Hill,at the event. Rachel‘s husband, Jason Ralph, was also there.

Many of the cast were seen greeting fans on the sidelines of the carpet, before heading into the theater.

Dead For A Dollar follows a famed bounty hunter who runs into his sworn enemy, a professional gambler and outlaw that he had sent to prison years before.

The movie will be out in theaters September 30.

Tilda Swinton takes over the red carpet in a dazzling lavender gown at the premiere of The Eternal Daughter during the 2022 Venice International Film Festival on Tuesday (September 6) in Venice, Italy.

The 61-year-old actress joined her director Joanna Hogg, as well as her co-stars August Joshi and Carly-Sophia Davies for the event. Get all the details on The Eternal Daughter here!

Penelope Cruz was also seen on the red carpet once again, in support of another movie of hers, On The Fringe.

She was seen catching up with jury president Julianne Moore there.

The 61-year-old actress was seen sporting freshly dyed yellow hair as she arrived for The Eternal Daughter photo call at the 2022 Venice Film Festival on Tuesday (September 6) in Venice, Italy.

She paired her new look with a blue striped button down and red trousers, adding a matching red necklace and heels to complete the outfit.

Tilda was joined on the red carpet by director Joanna Hogg, as well as her co-star Carly-Sophia Davies.

In The Eternal Daughter, Tilda plays a woman who reunites with her elderly mother to confront the long-buried secrets hidden in their former home, a once grand manor that has since become a nearly vacant hotel.
