Austin Butler had the support of another Oscar nominee at the 2023 Oscars this year – Angela Bassett.

The 31-year-old actor was up for Best Actor for his portrayal of Elvis Presley in Elvis. Meanwhile, Angela notched a historic nomination in Best Supporting Actress for her work in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

Neither of the stars claimed their award during the show. Brendan Fraser took Best Actor, and Jamie Lee Curtis was named Best Supporting Actress.

However, Angela revealed the silent way that she showed support to Austin when it was time for his category to be announced during the ceremony.

Lady Gaga rehearsed her 2023 Oscars performance in full glam before stripping off all her makeup to take the stage.

The 36-year-old hitmaker was a surprise performer during the awards ceremony on Sunday (March 12). She belted out her Oscar-nominated track “Hold My Hand” off the Top Gun: Maverick soundtrack.

After walking the red carpet in a glam gown and a full face of makeup, Mother Monster performed in a pair of ripped jeans and an oversized shirt. Her newly released rehearsal footage offers a dramatically different look at the number.

Jamie Lee Curtis is honoring her daughter Ruby Guest with her Oscar win.

Over the weekend, the 64-year-old won the Best Supporting Actress award for her role in Everything Everywhere All at Once at the 2023 Academy Awards.

While appearing on TODAY on Tuesday morning (March 14), Jamie revealed that she is referring to her Oscar trophy with the “they/them” pronouns out of respect for 27-year-old transgender daughter Ruby.

The 27-year-old Nigerian songwriter was nominated for Best Original Song for helping write Rihanna‘s “Lift Me Up” for the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever soundtrack.

Tems looked absolutely stunning on the red carpet in a Lever Couture gown, but viewers were surprised that she wore that outfit to sit in the audience at the Oscars. Photos of her in the crowd went viral as it appeared she was blocking the view of people sitting behind her.
