'Beverly Hills, 90210' Actress Christine Elise Says Jessica Alba is Lying About No Eye Contact Comment, Later Apologizes

Another Beverly Hills, 90210 star is addressing Jessica Alba‘s comment about not making eye contact with the actors.

During an interview on Beverly Hills 90210 Show podcast, former cast member Christine Elise slammed Jessica after she said wasn’t allowed to make eye contact with the cast of 90210 while on set.

On the show, Christine played Emily Valentine from season two to season five.

“[Producer] Paul Waigner did say, ‘The girls may not be nice, the guys might not be nice,’ but that’s as bad as it got!” Christine said. “That cast is very nice and if they don’t like you, they go away. That whole ‘don’t make eye contact’ [claim] is — I’m gonna call it what it is — it’s a f–king lie.”

Later, Christine took to Instagram to share a statement apologizing for calling Jessica a “liar.”

“I just want to comment on the article today where I was quoted as calling Jessica Alba a liar,” Christine wrote. “First of all – I have never met her but have always admired her work. I am certain she is a lovely woman.”

She continued: “JA was quoted as saying she was told not to make eye contact with the cast or risk being thrown off the set. That does not sound like the set I was on – and, though I was only in a handful of episodes.”

“I just want to say that it BAFFLES me that any controversy at all can be worked up over a show that went off the air 20 years ago. Perhaps she was misquoted or the remark was taken out of context but – left unanswered – it implies that the entire cast engaged in unprofessional diva behavior & that they were unwelcoming to guest stars,” Christine went on. “I think that is an inaccurate & unjust representation of a lot of people I consider to be my friends. The fact remains that maybe someone – an extra or whatever – delivered that warning to her. That does not mean it was, in fact, something the cast demanded.”

“So, I regret calling her a liar but, more importantly, I regret jumping into this sandbox,” Christine concluded. “What a sad state of affairs that the cast members of a beloved show that premiered THIRTY YEARS AGO are still fodder for ancient history gossip – about things that allegedly happened nearly 25 years ago. I am embarrassed about my part in this. Apologies to Jessica Alba.”

Christine isn’t the only one to address Jessica‘s comments. Many other Beverly Hills, 90210 stars have also talked about what she said.

Brian Austin Green Reacts to Jessica Alba's Claim That She Wasn't Allowed to Make Eye Contact on '90210' Set

Brian Austin Green is reacting to Jessica Alba‘s allegations about the set of 90210.

The 47-year-old actor dialed in to SiriusXM’s The Jenny McCarthy Show on Thursday (October 8).

While talking to SiriusXM’s Jenny McCarthy, he spoke about Jessica‘s recent remarks that she wasn’t allowed to make eye contact with the cast of 90210 while on set.

“I don’t think she heard that from anyone reputable, like that was really around us because that wasn’t ever our policy on set,” he said.

“Like we were, the one thing that we really were good about on our set was making people feel welcome and feel like they were a part of the family and what we were doing, and they were a part of the team. So I can’t, I can’t imagine that at all.”

More members of the 90210 cast have also since reacted – find out what they said about the allegation.

'Beverly Hills, 90210' Reboot - Get a First Look!

This is the first look at the upcoming Beverly Hills, 90210 reboot!

The cast – including Tori Spelling, Jennie Garth and Jason Priestley – spoke of the upcoming reboot, along with providing the first images, to Entertainment Weekly.

90210 kind of had a reboot with The CW version. We wanted to do something different, and we wanted to do something that would cause noise and be groundbreaking just like our original show was back in the ‘90s. And that’s when together we came up with this version,” said Tori.

“The premise of this show, it’s about the characters behind the characters. It’s inside the lives of people that lived in those shoes for those 10 years, and it’s about them coming back together. It’s really hard to do that show justice in a reboot, so we didn’t want to even try. We wanted to come at it with a totally different, fresh perspective, while still honoring the show and paying homage to all the characters that the fans are going to really love,” added Jennie.

She went on to explain that the upcoming reboot “is the OG crew back together and we’re playing heightened versions of ourselves. The fans will be pleasantly surprised, though, because we will intercut that with scenes from the show. So it’ll be a whole ensemble cast playing a heightened version of themselves. Almost everybody.”

Luke Perry, who plays Dylan McKay and is on Riverdale, “will do as many [episodes] as he can do…but almost the whole original cast.”

As for Shannen Doherty? “No status right now. But if she’s watching, we would love to have you do it.”

AnnaLynne McCord Details Tension Between Her & Shenae Grimes on '90210' Set

AnnaLynne McCord is opening up about about her relationship with 90210 co-star Shenae Grimes and how they didn’t get along while filming the popular series.

The 30-year-old actress says that Shenae reached out to her in 2013 when the series ended so that they could end their feud.

Shenae and I, who played Annie, we were at each other’s throats for five years and the day before we wrapped, Shenae calls me and was like, Hey… I can’t believe it’s over.’ I’m like, ‘Bitch?!’” AnnaLynne said on Wendy.

She explained her behavior, saying, “I just was removed from everything. I had social anxiety and I didn’t know it so it makes you seem like a real, little piece of work.”

“We hash it out the day before we wrap, all five years, and I end up at her wedding in England and now were friends. We have dinner dates. It’s awesome, I love her,” AnnaLynne added about their new relationship.

Luke Perry Pays Tribute to Shannen Doherty at '90210' Reunion

Luke Perry said some very kind words about his 90210 co-star Shannen Doherty while reuniting with other cast members at REWind Con this past weekend in Illionois.

Shannen was not able to make it to the event as she is undergoing treatments for breast cancer.

“None of us are up here today without Shannen,” Luke said during the panel, moderated by Lauren Cox. “She’s been through a lot. She’s not doing well right now, but sometimes her contributions are minimized.”

“She’s been thrown under the bus,” he continued. “I’ve been accused of driving it. But she’s a very big part of the success of this show. She taught me a lot. I’m glad she was my scene partner. She was great at what she did in the character with me.”

Jennie Garth took to Instagram to post a tribute to Shannen.

“To my soul sister @theshando strongest lady i’ve ever known. then and now. i used to be threatened by your spirit, now i’m in awe of it. You’ve taught me a lot about speaking my mind and not being afraid of my power. i’m so grateful that young me got to be friends with you. but especially ‘old’ me! the best is yet to come on this crazy journey!! love you! #fightlikeagirl #fightlikebrenda #aries,” she wrote.
