Amy Poehler takes her adorable boys Archie, 5, and Abel, 3, to the local farmer’s market on Sunday (October 27) in Beverly Hills, Calif.

The 42-year-old actress recently chatted with Metro about hosting the Golden Globes again.

“[Tina Fey and I] had such a fun time doing the Globes, and it’s been nice to be able to go to those shows in general, to be asked and invited. I’ve been to a lot of them now, and when you don’t win it’s really a funny, fun lesson. Because who cares about winning? Really, honestly,” Amy said.

“But it’s also a good reminder of how it’s really just fun to get to be there. During commercial breaks they often play clips of old award shows to keep the room warm, and I was always impressed and reminded of how fun and how loose it used to be,” she added. “Certainly there was competition, but it wasn’t like this weird pressure back then. So we try to take the pressure out of it honestly, selfishly just for ourselves so we can try to enjoy ourselves better. So if people like it, that’s cool.”

Amy Poehler holds her son Abel sideways while leaving a birthday party on Sunday afternoon (October 13) in Beverly Hills, Calif.

The 42-year-old actress recently opened up to The New Yorker about the first job she ever had, which was at an ice cream parlor.

“There was a performance element to the job that I found appealing, to begin with. Every time a customer was celebrating a birthday, an employee had to bang a drum that hung from the ceiling, and play the kazoo, and encourage the entire restaurant to join him or her in a sing-along,” Amy said. “Other employees would ring cowbells and blow noisemakers. I would stand on a chair and loudly announce, ‘Ladies and gentlemen, we are so happy to have you at Chadwick’s today, but we are especially happy to have Kevin! Because it’s Kevin’s birthday today! So, at the sound of the drum, please join me in singing Kevin a very happy birthday!’”

The 41-year-old actress recently released her latest “Ask Amy” video, where she broaches the subject of being in love.

“Being in love is super scary. Being in love is the worst, I mean it’s the best, but it’s so hard and scary to open your heart to someone,” Amy said. “First of all, celebrate the idea that you’re in love…and you’re not afraid of being in love. And just take it slow. Peek around the corner of love. Try to evaluate how you feel each step of the way.”

Amy Poehler carries her adorable son Abel, 2, out of Chuck E. Cheese’s on Wednesday (April 10) in Los Angeles.

The 41-year-old Parks & Recreation star will be re-teaming with her on-camera husband Adam Scott for an episode of his television spoof show, called the Greatest Television Event In History.

Also featured in the same ep will be Amy‘s former SNL co-star Horatio Sanz.

Look out for the Greatest Television Event in History, scheduled to air on Adult Swim on June 6.
