The Coronavirus pandemic is quickly sweeping through New York City and the Today show is the latest to be effected. One of the staffers in the third hour of the show has been diagnosed after having “mild symptoms.”
Savannah Guthrie announced the news this morning, and said that Craig Melvin, 40, and Al Roker, 65, will both be taking the day off.
“Both are fine right now, they feel good, but caution is the order of the day,” Savannah said about her co-hosts.
NBC News president Noah Oppenheim also said, “We are fully supporting our colleague, who is experiencing mild symptoms and receiving medical care, and I know you join me in sending our very best for a quick recovery.”
