Alex Warren is making his major label debut!
For those unfamiliar, Alex is one of the most-followed stars across social media platforms like TikTok and YouTube, garnering over 20 million followers.
His candid first single “One More I Love You” was released last year, and served as a reflection on traumatic childhood experiences, going on to achieve an impressive 31 million streams to date.
A few more singles later, he released the first episode of his self-produced docuseries, I Hope You’re Proud, following his journey into music while attributing his success to his late father, who passed away when he was 9 years old.
At the same time, the 21-year-old singer-songwriter also arrived with his first song with Atlantic Records, “Headlights.”
“‘Headlights’ is about anxiety, feeling like an audience member watching your own life, and all the things you can’t control,” he told Rolling Stone.
“The song is inspired by a troubling time when I was 17 and felt I couldn’t anything to get out of the hole of my anxiety, but also how I can still feel that way today. Experiencing that same anxiety despite my different circumstances is mesmerizing in a way. Releasing art that relates to people who share that struggle with anxiety and mental health issues, a struggle that can feel lonely and confusing, feels really powerful and beautiful to me.”
