The Oscar-winning actress starred in the 2018 reboot Tomb Raider and she was slated to appear in a Misha Green-directed sequel, but now it’s no longer happening.
MGM has lost the rights to the project and a bidding war has begun for a new studio to obtain the rights to the Tomb Raider franchise.

“It’s not greenlit, but the script is in the making, and I think everyone is excited and I would love to revisit Lara again,” Alicia said just last year about the project.

Before posing with her co-stars on top of the stairs, the 33-year-old actress shared a moment with her actor husband, Michael Fassbender on the red carpet.
Over the weekend, Alicia and Michael were seen at the Louis Vuitton dinner, before her photo call the next day.
Melanie Laurent, Iris Law, Claire Holt, Eva Herzigova, Isabelle Huppert, Kimberly Garner and Sara Sampaio were also seen around the red carpet.
Sharon Stone was also spotted at the premiere, and had a big moment with her gorgeous dress, which transitioned from a full ball gown to a sheath dress.

The last time that the couple walked the red carpet together was in March 2020, right before the pandemic hit the world. They attended the premiere of a film that Michael executive produced. That event marked their first appearance together in over three and a half years.
