Angus T. Jones on Controversial 'Two & a Half Men' Comments: 'I Got Pretty Doomsday'

Angus T. Jones made headlines several years ago for speaking out about Two & a Half Men and “contributing to the enemy’s plan.”

“I got pretty doomsday with my thinking for a long time, but now I’m having fun and enjoying where I’m at,” the 23-year-old student told People. “I no longer feel like every step I take is on a land mine.”

“I was very confident at that time. Going to college was something I was really, really excited about,” he said about his decision to leave the show. “If you’d asked me a few years ago if I wanted to get back involved in the industry, I would have said, “No. Not at all.’”

Angus is now on a break from school, but says he enjoyed going to University of Colorado at Boulder. “I wasn’t the center of everyone’s attention, and that was nice.” At the moment, Angus is serving as president of entertainment at Tonite, an event company in Los Angeles.

Angus T. Jones Apologizes for 'Two and a Half Men' Remarks!

Angus T. Jones has released a statement regarding his tirade about no longer wanting to be on his show Two and a Half Men.

“I have been the subject of much discussion, speculation and commentary over the past 24 hours. While I cannot address everything that has been said or right every misstatement or misunderstanding, there is one thing I want to make clear,” the 19-year-old actor said (via Deadline). “Without qualification, I am grateful to and have the highest regard and respect for all of the wonderful people on Two and Half Men with whom I have worked and over the past ten years who have become an extension of my family.”

Chuck Lorre, Peter Roth and many others at Warner Bros. and CBS are responsible for what has been one of the most significant experiences in my life to date. I thank them for the opportunity they have given and continue to give me and the help and guidance I have and expect to continue to receive from them,” Angus wrote.

Angus added, “I also want all of the crew and cast on our show to know how much I personally care for them and appreciate their support, guidance and love over the years. I grew up around them and know that the time they spent with me was in many instances more than with their own families. I learned life lessons from so many of them and will never forget how much positive impact they have had on my life.”

“I apologize if my remarks reflect me showing indifference to and disrespect of my colleagues and a lack of appreciation of the extraordinary opportunity of which I have been blessed. I never intended that,” Angus said.

Charlie Sheen Talks Angus T. Jones 'Meltdown'

Charlie Sheen has broken his silence on his former Two and a Half Men co-star Angus T. Jones‘ tirade about how he doesn’t want to be on the show anymore.

“With Angus‘s Hale-Bopp-like meltdown, it is radically clear to me that the show is cursed,” the 47-year-old actor told People.

Charlie referred to the religious cult Heaven’s Gate in his quote. The cult faced controversy in 1997 when 39 members committed suicide to reach what they thought was an alien space ship following the Comet Hale Bopp.

Angus called his show Two and a Half Men “filth” and urged viewers to stop watching the hit sitcom in a video he released via the Forerunner Christian Church. Make sure to watch the video in case you missed it!

Angus T. Jones: I Don't Want to Be on 'Two and a Half Men'

Angus T. Jones has spoken out against his hit CBS sitcom Two and a Half Men and has expressed his desire to leave the show.

“Jake from Two and a Half Men means nothing. He is a non-existent character,” the 19-year-old actor said in a video for the Forerunner Christian Church (via THR). “If you watch Two and a Half Men, please stop watching Two and a Half Men. I’m on Two and a Half Men and I don’t want to be on it. Please stop watching it and filling your head with filth. People say it’s just entertainment. Do some research on the effects of television and your brain, and I promise you you’ll have a decision to make when it comes to television, especially with what you watch.”

“If I am doing any harm, I don’t want to be here. I don’t want to be contributing to the enemy’s plan … You cannot be a true God-fearing person and be on a television show like that. I know I can’t. I’m not OK with what I’m learning, what the bible says and being on that television show,” Angus added. He also called the show “the enemy,” presumably referring to Satan.

Angus, who has starred on Two and a Half Men for the past ten years, reportedly makes $350,000 an episode.
