The Tales of the Walking Dead anthology series is adding some big names to the cast!
AMC revealed its first five cast members on Wednesday (February 2).
“We’ve worked hard to create unique, interesting and unexpected characters for both old and new TWD fans, and I’m thrilled that these are the actors who will bring them to life. I can’t wait for you to see the depth, drama, terror and, yes, humor they bring to the screen,” said series showrunner Channing Powell, via Variety.
The show will be made up of six stories featuring both new and established characters from The Walking Dead universe. Further details about the characters the five new cast members will play, however, are still being kept under wraps.

Law & Order: True Crime – The Menendez Murders is one of the highly anticipated shows of the fall season and the cast is shaping up!
Many new stars have been added to the cast in the past week, including Miles Gaston Villanueva as Lyle Menendez and Gus Halper as younger brother Erik Menendez.
Julianne Nicholson, who has been featured on Law & Order in the past, will play Jill Lansing, who was part of the Menendez brothers’ defense team.
Sterling Beaumon will play Glenn Stevens, a friend of Lyle’s from Princeton who became Lyle’s business partner after the murders, managing the first of a chain of Buffalo Wings restaurants.
Parenthood‘s Sam Jaeger will play Detective Les Zoeller, who investigates the murder of the Menendez parents.
Also joining the cast are ER veteran Anthony Edwards, Constance Marie, and Carlos Gomez.
Mariska Hargitay hits the red carpet alongside her husband Peter Hermann and their son August while attending The Joyful Revolution Gala held at the David Geffen Hall on Tuesday (May 10) in New York City.
The 52-year-old actress, who is also the Joyful Heart Foundation’s founder and president, was joined by Vice President Joe Biden, Peter‘s Younger co-star Miriam Shor, and Mariska‘s Law & Order co-stars Peter Scanavino, Kelli Giddish, Robert John Burke and Danny Pino.
Also in attendance were Hamilton‘s Renee Elise Goldsberry and Leslie Odom Jr., Hawaii Five-0‘s Daniel Dae Kim and Billions‘ Anthony Edwards.

Jake Gyllenhaal suits up while attending the Headstrong Project’s First Ever Words of War Event on Wednesday (May 8) in New York City.
The 32-year-old actor was joined at the event by pregnant actress Anna Chlumsky and Zero Hour‘s Anthony Edwards.
Words of War supports comprehensive mental healthcare for military veterans of Iraq and Afghanistan. The event featured a presentation of wartime poetry, literature, theater and letters that articulate the exuberance and ideals that drive men to war, the thrill and horror of combat, the difficulties of returning home, and the experience of family members worried about their loved ones at war.
During the evening, Jake read the poem “Dulce et Decorum Est,” by Wilfred Owen and also donated $5,000 towards the cause.

Morgan Freeman and ER alum Anthony Edwards will take part in a one-time reading of 8, a new play by Oscar-winning screenwriter Dustin Lance Black!
According to the NYTimes, the September 19 reading will also feature 30 Rock‘s Cheyenne Jackson and Marisa Tomei – the story is adapted from reporting and trial transcripts from Perry vs. Schwarzenegger, when a judge struck down Prop 8 in 2010.
Joe Mantello, who was recently nominated for a Tony for his work in A Normal Heart, will direct.
