Olivia Holt and Aubrey Joseph are opening up about their auditions for Cloak & Dagger!

The 20-year-old actors appeared on Build Series on Thursday morning (June 7) in New York City.

If you didn’t know, Cloak & Dagger is the story of Tandy Bowen (Holt) and Tyrone Johnson (Joseph) – two teenagers from very different backgrounds, who find themselves burdened and awakened to newly acquired superpowers which are mysteriously linked to one another.

During their appearance, they discussed meeting Black Panther‘s Chadwick Boseman, as well as dealing with real-life issues on the show. Plus, they opened up about their auditions!

The Take Two co-stars were joined at the event by Grand Hotel‘s Roselyn Sanchez and Demian Bichir, Grown-ish‘s Yara Shahidi, Halle Bailey and Chloe Bailey, The Fix‘s Robin Tunney and Breckin Meyer, and Runaways‘ Ariela Barer, Gregg Sulkin, Lyrica Okano, Allegra Acosta, Rhenzy Feliz and Virginia Gardner.

Also in attendance to promote their shows were Forest Whitaker, Mary McCormack, Sirens‘ Eline Powell, Station 19‘s Jaina Lee Ortiz and Jason George, and Cloak & Dagger‘s Aubrey Joseph and Olivia Holt.

Take Two centers on “Ella (Rachel), the former star of a hit cop series who is fresh out of rehab following a bender of epic proportion. Desperate to restart her career, she talks her way into shadowing rough-and-tumble private investigator Eddie (Eddie) as research for a potential comeback role,” according to THR.

Yara Shahidi and Storm Reid look fabulous on the purple carpet!

The 17-year-old Black-ish star and the 14-year-old A Wrinkle In Time star both walked the carpet at the premiere of Black Panther at Dolby Theatre on Monday (January 29) in Hollywood, Calif.

Chloe X Halle, Aubrey Joseph and Olivia Holt were also in attendance.

The upcoming Freeform series follows the “interracial romance between Tandy Bowen (Holt) and Tyrone Johnson (Joseph), who come from starkly different backgrounds, each growing up with a secret they never dared share with another soul.

Tandy can emit light daggers and Tyrone has the ability to engulf others in darkness. They quickly learn they are better together than apart – but their feelings for each other make their already complicated world even more challenging.
