Alicia Silverstone is opening up about motherhood.
The 45-year-old Clueless actress got candid about how she raises her 11-year-old son, who she shares Bear with ex Christopher Jarecki.

Alicia Silverstone is opening up about her nine-year-old son Bear was bullied for his long hair, but he shrugged off the mean kids at camp and decided to keep growing his hair!
The 43-year-old Clueless actress took to Instagram this weekend to show off her son’s long hair and share the message.
“I just LOVE his hair in this image, I had to grab a quick pic. One time my son was made fun of by other kids because of his hair on a bus ride to surf camp,” Alicia said. “After he had returned and told me, I thought he would want to cut it for a haircut appointment we had already scheduled the next day, but when we showed up, he said ‘please give me a trim so I can grow it to my waist.’ That’s my boy!”
Alicia continued, “He knows who he is. He loves his hair and chooses to have it long. Mama and Papa aren’t going to stop him from being him. He’s beautiful and we love his hair!”
“We would never impose any social ideas about what hair on a boy or girl should look like. We should all try to embrace our children and who they choose to be without any judgement! Plus there are so many very handsome men who have long hair Brad Pitt… Harry Styles…. Jason Momoa… even Jesus 😉… all long hair! Just sayin.. 😂❤️ #family #love,” she said.

Alicia Silverstone is opening up about spending time with her son, Bear.
The 43-year-old Clueless actress spoke about spending time with her 9-year-old son during an interview with The New York Times on Sunday (May 31).

“My son and I take baths together, and when he’s not with me, I take a bath and that really feels nourishing and comforting,” she said of passing the time at home amid the pandemic. He also enjoys “bouncing on the mini trampoline, dancing or jump roping.”
Alicia welcomed Bear in 2011 with her then-husband, Christopher Jarecki.
In the same interview, she discussed nourishing herself: “I always bring everything back to diet. When I don’t eat well, I don’t feel well, and then my moods go all over the place.”
In an earlier interview with Us Weekly, she opened up about raising Bear on a vegan diet, saying he has “more energy” than most kids.
“I always laugh, like, ‘Oh, my poor vegan baby, he’s so weak,’ because he’s jumping all over the place and he’s so wild. But there’s a calmness to him and a centeredness. He’s not off the charts,” she explained.
She went on to reveal she doesn’t “yell or scream or discipline him,” saying “All I have to do is say, ‘Oh, Bear, no thank you,’ and he goes, ‘OK, mom.’ He’s got it. We just can talk like that because he’s not feeling crazy. When they feel bad, when they eat unhealthy food and they don’t feel good, then they don’t act good. Same as us.”
She was recently seen going on a socially distanced walk with this fellow star.
Alicia Silverstone is crediting her son’s good health to his diet.
During a recent interview, the 42-year-old Clueless star revealed that her 7-year-old son Bear Blu has avoided being sick thanks to his vegan lifestyle.

“He’s never had to take medicine in his life,” Alicia shared with Page Six. “He can get sniffles and a runny nose but he’s not down, he still goes to school. Two times in his life has he been like, ‘Mommy I don’t feel good,’ and it was only for a few hours and he was back running around.”
Alicia – who has been vegan for over two decades, changed her eating habits when she was 21-years-old – raises Bear with ex-husband Christopher Jarecki.

The 40-year-old actress stepped out at a Cinespia screening on Sunday (May 28) at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery in Hollywood, Calif.
Alicia also brought along her adorable six-year-old son Bear to the event.
Before the movie began, Alicia took center stage to talk to the crowd about the iconic 1995 film.
“I really love the film and I’m so happy you all do too!” Alicia said before adding in her character Cher’s signature catchphrase, “Whatever!”
FYI: Alicia is wearing a Wilfred for Aritzia top and a Ted Baker skirt.
Alicia Silverstone holds on to her 11-month-old son Bear as she roams the fields during the second day of the 2012 Coachella Music Festival‘s second weekend on Saturday (April 21) in Indio, Calif.
The 35-year-old actress used a pair of noise canceling headphones to protect Bear‘s ears as they made their way around the festival.
Alicia was also joined by her husband of almost seven years, Christopher Jarecki.
Last week, Alicia made a guest appearance on the ABC comedy Suburgatory, reuniting with her former Clueless co-star Jeremy Sisto.

Earlier in the day, the 34-year-old Clueless actress held onto her newborn son Bear Blu on the set of her new movie Gods Behaving Badly.
Alicia‘s husband Christopher Jarecki also joined her on set to care for Bear.
