Jennifer Gates, the eldest daughter of Bill and Melinda Gates, is speaking out following the news that her parents are getting a divorce.
The philanthropists and entrepreneurs announced on Monday (May 3) that they are separating after 27 years of marriage.
The couple did not have a pre-nuptial agreement and details of their separation agreement have been revealed, including what will happen to their finances.

Bill and Melinda Gates announced their divorce earlier today and now, new details about their split are coming out.
According to People, the couple didn’t have a pre-nuptial agreement, and it’s been revealed that they’ve entered into a separation agreement which lays down rules about how they will handle finances going forward.
In the divorce petition filed, Melinda stated that “spousal support is not needed” but that the duo’s marriage is “irretrievably broken.”
“We ask the court to dissolve our marriage and find that our marital community ended on the date stated in our separation contract,” the statement reads from Melinda.
As far as their finances, filed an automatic temporary order setting financial restraints that will restrict both her and Bill‘s ability to dispose of property or make changes to insurance policies, except as agreed in writing or as ordered by the court.
Bill and Melinda will also each be responsible for their own future incurred debts, except as agreed in writing. They’ll both have access to all tax, financial, legal, and household records.
The couple married in 1994 and have three adult children: son Rory, and daughters Phoebe, and Jennifer.

In a statement posted to social media, the couple revealed that they will continue to work together, but have decided to end their marriage at this time.
“After a great deal of thought and a lot of work on our relationship, we have made the decision to end our marriage,” the statement begins. “Over the last 27 years, we have raised three incredible children and built a foundation that works all over the world to enable all people to lead healthy, productive lives.”
It continued, “We continue to share a believe in that mission and will continue our work together at the foundation, but we no longer believe we can grow together as a couple in this next phase of our lives.”

Bill and Melinda married in 1994 and share son Rory, and daughters Phoebe and Jennifer.
Together, they received the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2016.

Microsoft Corp. co-founder and billionaire philanthropist Bill Gates is speaking out about rumors circulating about it.
His foundation has pledged more than $350 million to fight Coronavirus and is currently funding efforts to manufacture multiple vaccine candidates so that if a new vaccine is made, it can be distributed as effectively as possible. However, many anti-vaxxers have questions for him.
“What do you make of the conspiracy theories that you’re pursuing vaccine research to control people’s minds using 5G radio waves and so on?” Bill was asked by Bloomberg.
“It’s strange. They take the fact that I’m involved with vaccines and they just reverse it, so instead of giving money to save lives, I’m making money to get rid of lives. If that stops people from taking a vaccine or looking at the latest data about wearing a mask, then it’s a big problem,” Bill responded.
He then was asked, “How confident are you we’ll have a working vaccine that can be widely distributed by the end of 2020?”
Bill responded, “Well, the initial vaccine won’t be ideal in terms of its effectiveness against sickness and transmission. It may not have a long duration, and it will mainly be used in rich countries as a stopgap measure. We’d be lucky to have much before the end of the year. But then, in 2021, a number of other vaccines are very likely to get approved. The strongest response will probably come from the protein subunit. With so many companies working on it, we can afford quite a few failures and still have something with low cost and long duration.”
Bill actually predicted something about a deadly virus years ago that went viral recently.

Microsoft founder Bill Gates, Kanye West, and the official accounts for Apple, Uber and Bitcoin.org were hacked to promote a Bitcoin scam, Buzzfeed News confirmed.
Here’s more about the scam: “Since at least the start of 2018, scammers have created fake accounts mimicking Musk, President Donald Trump, and other celebrities to lure in unsuspecting individuals to send bitcoin or other forms of cryptocurrency with the promise that they’d have their money doubled or tripled in return.”
A rep for Twitter told the organization that the issue is being “looked into.”
Wiz Khalifa, Jeff Bezos and Mike Bloomberg were also affected, among others.
This time, the unknown hacker gained access to the stars’ real accounts, as opposed to creating fake accounts.
Unfortunately, it seems some already fell for the scam: “The bitcoin wallet address associated with the scam showed transactions on Wednesday afternoon suggesting more than $60,000 worth of the cryptocurrency had been deposited in the wallet. It’s unclear if that money was from actual unsuspecting individuals or from the scammer themselves,” Buzzfeed adds.

The “Like a Prayer” pop icon announced on Friday (April 3) that she is joining Bill and Melinda Gates in seeking a prevention or cure for the ongoing pandemic.

“I’m joining the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation effort to find a drug that will prevent or treat COVID-19. We need this to protect our health workers, the most vulnerable, and all of our friends and families,” she said in a statement.
“I’m talking about this: I am so impressed by the work of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and the COVID-19 Therapeutics Accelerator’s urgent efforts to find new or existing drugs that could effectively prevent or treat the disease.
