Billy Bob Thornton keeps it cool in a pair of shades as he hits the red carpet at the premiere of his latest film Bad Santa 2 held at AMC Loews Lincoln Square on Tuesday (November 15) in New York City.

The 61-year-old actor was joined at the event by his co-stars Kathy Bates, Christina Hendricks, Brett Kelly, Tony Cox and Ryan Hansen, as well as Christina‘s husband Geoffrey Arend, Alysia Reiner, Dan Amboyer and Lewis Black, who all came out to show their support.

That same day, Kathy made an appearance on the TODAY show to talk about American Horror Story and her role in Bad Santa 2.

“I really go to play a role that I guess is the most deviant character I’ve ever played and I just jumped into the deep end,” Kathy expressed. “It was a dream of mine, I’ve been a big fan of the first movie Bad Santa so when they asked if I wanted to play Billy Bob’s mother, I said ‘where do I sign?’.” Watch the trailer for Bad Santa 2 here!

Billy Bob Thornton and Brad Pitt have something in common – they were both married to Angelina Jolie and both have since split from her.

Now, Billy Bob has express that he would “love” to be in a movie with Brad!

In the new issue of Playboy, Billy Bob opens up about his ex-wife.

“I always felt beneath her, and if you’re living a life with someone you feel you’re beneath, that’s not good for either of you. Angie and I are still friends. That won’t ever go away. We don’t talk on a regular basis; sometimes I won’t see her for five years. But I offer. I know she’s been through a lot. She’s a great person. And she’s one of the people who didn’t abandon me. She never has,” he said. “This might surprise people, but I’d love to do a movie with Brad Pitt. I think we’d be great together. We’d play a couple of Southern guys.”

Angelina Jolie‘s ex-husband Billy Bob Thornton is opening up about her state of mind amid her divorce from Brad Pitt.

“She’s seems, you know, OK to me when I talk to [her],” Billy Bob told ET. “I don’t talk to her that often though. You know?”

He continued. “Once in a blue moon we come together. Every now and then we talk, you know? Whatever. But when people are going through their trials and tribulations I try to leave them alone unless they want to talk to me.”

“In other words, I figure it’s none of my business,” Billy Bob added. “Unless someone makes it my business it’s none of my business.”

In case you missed it, he also recently said that he never felt good enough for Angie.

Billy Bob Thornton is opening up about his relationship with Angelina Jolie in this new feature in GQ magazine.

“I never felt good enough for her,” Billy Bob said. They married in 2000 and split in 2003. “I’m real uncomfortable around rich and important people,” Billy Bob said, adding, “I like how I am.”

Billy Bob did add that the two are still friend and talk every few months.

He has two tattoos of Angelina‘s name on his body: “See, it’s just resting there…You can still see the name.”

Billy Bob Thornton gets back into the Santa Claus costume in the official Red Band trailer for his anticipated film Bad Santa 2!

Here’s an official synopsis: Bad Santa 2 returns the 61-year-old actor to the screen as America’s favorite anti-hero, Willie Soke. Fueled by cheap whiskey, greed and hatred, Willie teams up once again with his angry little sidekick, Marcus (Tony Cox), to knock off a Chicago charity on Christmas Eve. Along for the ride is ‘the kid’ – chubby and cheery Thurman Merman (Brett Kelly), a 250-pound ray of sunshine who brings out Willie’s sliver of humanity. Mommy issues arise when the pair are joined by Willie’s horror story of a mother, Sunny Soke (Kathy Bates). A super butch super bitch, Sunny raises the bar for the gang’s ambitions, while somehow lowering the standards of criminal behavior. Willie is further burdened by lusting after the curvaceous and prim Diane (Christina Hendricks), the charity director with a heart of gold and libido of steel.
