'Da Vinci Code' Author Dan Brown's Ex-Wife is Suing Him, Claims He Lived a Double Life

Dan Brown‘s ex-wife Blythe has accused him of leading a double life in brand new claims.

Blythe, who divorced the “Da Vinci Code” author in 2019, has filed a lawsuit against him and claims that Dan “secretly siphoned” off vast sums of money “to conduct sordid, extra-marital affairs” with women.

The Boston Globe reports that Blythe has sued Dan for misrepresenting the couple’s wealth in a sworn financial affidavit he signed as part of their divorce agreement, and for intentional and negligent infliction of emotional distress.

“This lawsuit is about standing up for myself and asserting my self-worth. I have continually tried to absorb the shocking truth withheld during our divorce that Dan had been leading a double life for years during our marriage, all while coming home to me,” Blythe shared in a statement this week.

She continued, “…It is time to reveal his deceit and betrayal. After so much pain, it is time for truth. It is time to right these wrongs.”

The suit accuses Dan of taking funds from their account to finance his activities with his mistresses, including a young horse trainer who lived in Holland.

Some of the gifts that are mentioned include a prize-winning Friesian horse named “LimiTed Edition”, priced at $345,000, plus a new car, a two-horse transport truck, and renovations to the woman’s apartment in Holland.

Just recently, the character Dan created for the “Da Vinci Code” book series, Robert Langdon, is getting his own television series.
