Natalie Portman flashes a smile as she arrives at a screening of Vox Lux on Thursday night (December 13) at The Whitby Hotel in New York City.

The 37-year-old Oscar-winning actress went glam in a white suit and matching heels as she was joined at the event by director Brady Corbet.

Natalie Portman sits down for an interview at the Build Series on Thursday afternoon (December 13) in New York City.

The Oscar-winning actress was joined by Vox Lux writer and director Brady Corbet to chat about their new film. One of the topics they discussed, which relates to themes of the movie, is being famous in today’s 24/7 news cycle.

“The news cycle needs new stories all the time, they’re looking for scandal, controversy, something new always, so yes, you get sucked into it often, much more often than when I was in the public eye 10 years ago,” Natalie said. “But the interesting thing is it also has less weight. It also disappears… the fact that there’s so much out there, dilutes the importance of any particular story. Nothing sticks. Something that’s a big scandal today, tomorrow is someone else’s scandal.”

Natalie was just in Venice for another premiere of the upcoming film, which does not yet have a release date.

Colton Haynes heats up the red carpet at the John Varvatos and Converse’s launch of The Weapon shoe during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week on Friday (September 7) in New York City.

The 24-year-old Teen Wolf heartthrob was joined at the launch by Brady Corbet, Daniel Gillies, Jamie Chung, and Bryan Greenberg.
