'I Still Believe' to Be Released on VOD, Two Weeks After Theatrical Release

The new movie I Still Believe, starring KJ Apa and Britt Robertson, will be available to watch on premium VOD platforms just two weeks after it hit theaters.

The film was released in theaters on March 13, just days before movie theaters around the country shut down due to the coronavirus. Now, it will be available to watch from home on March 27.

Lionsgate announced that the company still supports a theatrical release window, but this is obviously an extraordinary circumstance as current movies are unable to be viewed in theaters.

“The theatrical experience is core to our business, and exhibitors are our integral partners and allies. With theaters closed nationwide due to these unprecedented events, we want to continue to make I Still Believe available to consumers. We’re enormously proud of the movie that the Erwin Brothers created and are grateful to be able to share it with audiences for their home viewing pleasure,” Lionsgate chairman Joe Drake said in a statement.

Despite most audiences staying home for the past week, the movie still grossed $9.8 million at the domestic box office and it earned an “A” CinemaScore.
