Ashlee Simpson and her new beau Evan Ross hold hands with her son Bronx, 4, as they leave a house party on Sunday (August 4) in Venice Beach, Calif.

The 28-year-old entertainer and Evan, 24, hung out with some pals for the afternoon out on the private residence’s deck.

“Oh he loves it,” Ashlee recently told People about Bronx loving being a cousin to Jessica Simpson‘s kids Maxwell and Ace. “He’ll get it soon. Right now, he’s like ‘OK, Maxwell, come hang out with me! Let’s go to your play room.’ We are always all together. We’re a close family.”

Bronx‘s dad Pete Wentz recently told Rolling Stone that having a son changed him.

“You’re up in the morning, and you have to really be there,” he said. “It’s not like getting up for a radio interview. In some ways, that was super helpful for my soul.”
