John Riddle, Caissie Levy, Jelani Alladin, Patti Murin and Greg Hildreth are all smiles as they take part in SiriusXM on Broadway presents: Curtain Call with Frozen The Broadway Musical at the SiriusXM Studios on Thursday (May 24) in New York City.

The Broadway cast were joined by Tony-nominated songwriting team Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, as well as moderator Julie James as they talked about the official Broadway cast recording of the musical.

The Broadway production of Frozen continues to smash records after officially opening last month!

The new musical, based on Disney’s hit animated film, has broken the house record at the St. James Theatre for the second week in a row. The show grossed $2,275,395 for the week ending April 8. This is more money than any other production has ever made in one week at this specific theatre.

In addition to the exciting news, Disney Theatrical Productions just announced that an original cast recording will be released in the spring. We’ll get to hear all of the new music that was written for the show!

Frozen, starring Caissie Levy as Elsa and Patti Murin as Anna, is getting rave reviews from audience members and standing ovations nightly. After going through a lot of changes from the Denver run last summer, audiences are responding to the show with even more enthusiasm. Greta Gerwig keeps chic and sophisticated in a black suit while hitting the red carpet at the 2018 Miscast Gala Honors Laurie Metcalf event held at Hammerstein Ballroom on Monday (March 26) in New York City.

The 34-year-old Lady Bird writer-director was joined at the event by the honoree of the evening herself Laurie Metcalf, who was accompanied by her daughters Mae Akins Roth and Zoe Perry.

Also in attendance to show their support was Sara Bareilles, Frozen on Broadway star Caissie Levy, Amber Tamblyn, Alison Pill, and The Band’s Visit star Katrina Lenk.

“Laurie Metcalf is a rock star. She’s basically the definition of fearless. She’s astonishingly inventive and brings every character she plays fully alive,” said MCC Co-Artistic Director Bernard Telsey in a statement. “It was a gift working with her at MCC when she premiered The Other Place with us. But really it’s a gift every time she’s on stage, which fortunately for all of us, she returns to again and again. We’re so excited about honoring her at the next Miscast.”

The Broadway vets are playing Elsa and Anna, respectively, in the new musical. They were joined at the event by their husbands, David Reiser and Colin Donnell.

Also in attendance at the party were Jelani Alladin (Kristoff), John Riddle (Hans), and Greg Hildreth (Olaf), among others.
