Camille Cosby Breaks Silence on Bill Cosby's Guilty Verdict, Calls Out 'Mob Justice'

Camille Cosby has released her first statement since her husband Bill Cosby was found guilty in his sexual assault court case.

The statement makes mention of “mob justice,” and not “real justice” in finding her husband guilty of the crime. Camille has famously stood by her husband as he was accused of sexual assault by dozens of women. This trial found him guilty of the 2004 drugging and sexual assault of Andrea Constand.

Camille and Bill have been married since 1964.

Bill Cosby's Wife Camille Releases Statement Thanking Jury

Bill Cosby‘s wife Camille has released a statement after her husband’s sexual assault case ended in a mistrial.

Camille, who has been married to Bill since 1964, slammed the district attorney and thanked the jury members who “tenaciously fought to review the evidence.”

“How do I describe the District Attorney? Heinously and exploitively ambitious. How do I describe the judge? Overtly and arrogantly collaborating with the District Attorney. How do I describe the counsels for the accusers? Totally unethical. How do I describe many, but not all, general media? Blatantly vicious entities that continually disseminated intentional omissions of truths for the primary purpose of greedily selling sensationalism at the expense of a human life,” Camille wrote in her written statement.

“Historically, people have challenged injustices. I am grateful to any of the jurors who tenaciously fought to review the evidence; which is the rightful way to make a sound decision….ultimately, that is a manifestation of justice, based on facts, not lies. As a very special friend once stated, ‘truth can be subdued, but not destroyed,’” she continued.

“Moreover, I express humongous gratitude to counselors Brian McMonagle and Angela Agrusa for their hard work. Mr. McMonagle for his passionate and powerful articulations of truths; Ms. Agrusa for her thorough research to bolster Counsel McMonagle; to Mr. Andrew Wyatt for his unequivocal skills in public relations; to our team, who worked diligently and intelligently; to our staffs for their continuous commitment to our family and me….and to our children, grandchildren, and other family who loves us…and to our dear friends and supporters, who never gave up on us, despite it all,” she concluded.

Bill Cosby's Wife Camille Releases a Statement Defending Him

Bill Cosby‘s wife Camille has released a statement to defend her husband against the rape allegations he has been facing.

“I met my husband, Bill Cosby, in 1963, and we were married in 1964. The man I met, and fell in love with, and whom I continue to love, is the man you all knew through his work. He is a kind man, a generous man, a funny man, and a wonderful husband, father and friend. He is the man you thought you knew,” the statement begins.

“A different man has been portrayed in the media over the last two months. It is the portrait of a man I do not know,” Camille continues. “It is also a portrait painted by individuals and organizations whom many in the media have given a pass. There appears to be no vetting of my husband’s accusers before stories are published or aired. An accusation is published, and immediately goes viral.”

“We all followed the story of the article in the Rolling Stone concerning allegations of rape at the University of Virginia. The story was heart-breaking, but ultimately appears to be proved to be untrue,” Camille says in the statement. “Many in the media were quick to link that story to stories about my husband – until that story unwound,” she says.

“None of us will ever want to be in the position of attacking a victim. But the question should be asked – who is the victim?” Camille concludes.
