Carly Simon is going through a devastating loss, as both of her sisters, Lucy and Joanna, have passed away.

The New York Times is reporting that Lucy, who is best known as a Broadway composer, died after a battle with metastatic breast cancer at the age of 82 on Thursday, October 20, in her Piermont, N.Y. home.

The paper also reported that Joanna, the oldest of the sisters, who was an opera singer, died of thyroid cancer at 85 on Wednesday, October 19.

Carly Simon is opening up about the man behind her famous hit “You’re So Vain”!

The 70-year-old legendary singer revealed that part of the song is about Reds star Warren Beatty, 78!

“I have confirmed that the second verse is Warren,” Carly told People.

When asked if he knows that verse is about him, Carly said, “Warren thinks the whole thing is about him!”

Will she ever reveal the identities of the other two men the song is about?

“I don’t think so,” Carly said, adding, “at least until they know it’s about them.”

Taylor Swift gives Carly Simon a hug while posing backstage following their performance of the classic song “You’re So Vain” during a stop on the Red Tour at Gillette Stadium on Saturday night (July 27) in Foxborough, Mass.

“Got to sing ‘You’re So Vain’ with Carly Simon at Gillette Stadium tonight!!!!! Unreal. I could not possibly look up to her more,” the 23-year-old singer tweeted after the show.

In case you didn’t know, Carly was married to singer James Taylor for ten years. Taylor has performed with him on her tours multiple times and cites him as one of her musical influences as well!
