The 2023 Critics Choice Awards just ended and four veteran actors won the top awards in the acting categories!

The annual awards show took place at the Fairmont Century Plaza Hotel on Sunday (January 15) in Los Angeles.

Historically, the Critics Choice Awards are the most accurate predictor of Academy Award nominations, though the show is happening much earlier than normal this year.

The movie Everything Everywhere All at Once led the film wins with five total awards.

Cate Blanchett has a little fun with Natasha Lyonne on the red carpet at the 2023 Critics Choice Awards held at the Fairmont Century Plaza Hotel on Sunday (January 15) in Los Angeles.

The 53-year-old actress is nominated this evening in the Best Actress category for her work in the movie Tár. You’ll also see Natasha on stage this evening as she’s presenting an award!

Cate Blanchett is opening up about the making of her critically acclaimed film Tár, as well as being disciplined, and her star sign.

The 53-year-old Tár star appears on the cover of W Magazine’s first issue of 2023, Volume 1, Best Performances, set to hits stands on February 7.

The annual feature, curated by W’s editor-at-large Lynn Hirschberg, highlights major actors, from industry legends to rising stars.

So many celebrities were in attendance at The BAFTA Tea Party presented by Delta Air Lines and Virgin Atlantic at Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles on Saturday (January 14) in Los Angeles.

The 53-year-old two-time Oscar winner attended the UK premiere of her latest movie TÁR on Wednesday (January 11) at Picturehouse Central in London, England.

There were several celebs who won at the 2023 Golden Globes who weren’t in attendance to accept their awards.

During the show, the presenters gave explanations to tell the audience why the stars didn’t show up for the event, which was held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Tuesday night (January 10) in Beverly Hills, Calif.

While these stars weren’t at the show and missed their chance in the spotlight, there were even more celebs who didn’t show up and we recapped that in a post earlier today.

Cate Blanchett wasn’t in the audience when she was announced as the winner at the 2023 Golden Globes on Tuesday night (January 10) at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif.

The 53-year-old actress won in the Best Actress in a Motion Picture Drama for her work on TÁR, beating out the likes of Olivia Colman (Empire of Light), Viola Davis (The Woman King), Ana de Armas (Blonde) and Michelle Williams (The Fabelmans).

The win marked Cate‘s fourth at the Golden Globes and her first since she won in the same category in 2014 for Blue Jasmine. Her first-ever win was in 1999, again in the same category for Elizabeth.

She is now in a four-way tie with Meryl Streep, Ingrid Bergman and Jane Fonda as the actresses with the most wins in the category.

Cate was not the first Golden Globe winner to miss the 2023 ceremony.

Where was Cate? She is currently in production on a project in the U.K.

TÁR went into the evening with three nominees. It lost out to The Banshees of Inisherin for Best Screenplay and is still in the running for Best Motion Picture Drama.
