Chad Kroeger isn’t letting the hate towards Nickelback get him down.

The 48-year-old frontman attended the Toronto International Film Festival this week to support the new documentary Hate to Love: Nickelback, which chronicles the band’s success as well as the intense backlash they’ve faced over the years.

While speaking with People, Chad said that he had no intentions of addressing the hatred towards Nickelback moving forward since he considers the documentary the final word on the subject.

Nickelback has officially hit the road for their 2023 North American Tour!

The tour launched this week at Videotron Centre in Quebec City, Canada and they band played fan favorites such as “How You Remind Me”, “Photograph,” “Rockstar,” as well as new songs from their recent studio album Get Rollin.

The group is touring alongside country rocker Brantley Gilbert, who is playing all non-festival dates on the tour. The U.S. leg of the tour begins on Friday and the band will be traveling across North America through the beginning of October.

The 31-year-old signer and Chad, 41, have been spending time together lately, she has not confirmed that they are back together.

“I came with Chad because Nickelback got nominated,” Avril told eTalk. “And I’m just here supporting him.”

Avril also revealed that she is feeling much better after her battle with Lyme disease last year.

“I’m feeling so much better,” she said. “And so it’s nice to be able to do things like come to the Junos and ease my way back into it. I’m grateful to have Chad and his support. And the support of my family this past year, and just to be getting my life back really.”

The 31-year-old singer and her 41-year-old Nickelback singer are still married, but went their separate ways back in September.

“I’m so stoked I figured out how to play my mandolin so I learned a Dixie Chicks song!!! And I can’t stop playing it !!! �’�🌟✨@zanecarney @stephanhovsepian,” Avril captioned a video of her jamming out with musician Zane Carney that same day.

The former couple first sparked rumors that they were back together while walking the red carpet together at the 2016 Clive Davis Pre-Grammys Gala a couple weeks ago.

Chad Kroeger keeps it simple in a white v-neck tee and jeans while heading into Ahi Sushi restaurant on Friday afternoon (September 4) in Sherman Oaks, Calif.

The 40-year-old Nickelback front man was joined by a friend as the pair grabbed lunch.

It appeared that Chad was still wearing his wedding ring, just a few days after he and his wife Avril Lavigne announced on her Instagram that they would be getting divorced.

Avril and Chad had been married since July of 2013.

“It is with heavy heart that Chad and I announce our separation today,” the 30-year-old singer wrote on her Instagram account. “Through not only the marriage, but the music as well, we’ve created many unforgettable moments. We are still, and forever will be, the best of friends, and will always care deeply for each other. To all our family, friends and fans, thank you sincerely for the support.”

Avril and Chad married back in July of 2013.
