Michael Phelps strikes a pose and talks to reporters while walking the red carpet at the Omega House on Monday (August 15) in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

On Saturday, the 31-year-old swimmer won his record-breaking 23rd Olympic gold medal at the 2016 Rio Summer Olympics.

Michael and Katie Ledecky, 19 – who has won several gold medals and broken world records during this summer’s Olympics – recently recreated a photo they took 10 years ago.

In the 2006 photo, nine-year-old Katie smiled after getting an autograph from 21-year-old Michael, and in the 2016 photo, Michael was the one grinning as he got an autograph from Katie.

Michael Phelps celebrates another victory after winning the gold medal in the Men’s 200m Butterfly Final during day four of the 2016 Rio Summer Olympics on Tuesday (August 9) in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

The 31-year-old Team USA swimmer won his 20th gold medal during his Olympic career and he also defeated his rival, South African swimmer Chad le Clos.

Chad famously gave Michael his first international loss in the 200m butterfly in a decade back in 2012.

Before the guys raced in the semi-finals on Monday night, Michael was seen getting his game face on in the ready room while Chad shadowboxed in front of him and even stared him down for a bit!

Michael Phelps definitely knows how to get in the zone before a race and the Internet is going crazy over the face he was making before the 200-meter butterfly semifinal on Monday (August 8) during the Rio Olympics!

While other athletes were stretching and getting ready for the race, the 31-year-old swimmer was caught sitting still and making a super intense face in the ready room.

Michael was probably just mentally preparing for the race, but fans are also noting that South African swimmer Chad le Clos was shadowboxing right in front of him.

The pair of swimmers have some history, as Chad beat Michael in a huge upset during the London Olympics.

Despite Michael‘s loss four years ago, he qualified for the finals this time, beating Chad by one second in their heat.
