Fans Have a Theory About One Background Character in 'Spider-Man: No Way Home' Trailer!

Fans are hoping that this theory about the Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer is correct!

The teaser trailer was released this week and there’s one scene where Peter Parker (Tom Holland) is at the police station being questioned in the Mysterio murder case.

One wide shot reveals a man in a white button down, but his face is hard to make out. The man is then seen again, but only his torso and not his face. Many believe this could be Matt Murdock, aka Daredevil, played by Charlie Cox in the Marvel/Netflix series that was cancelled a few years ago! In the comics, Matt is a lawyer, so it would make sense for his character to be at the police station with Peter Parker.

Check out the stills from the trailer and see if you agree with this theory. Find out which other returning character made an appearance in the trailer!

Charlie Cox Rumored to Play Daredevil Again, This Time in a Movie!

The upcoming Spider-Man 3 movie keeps getting more and more big names attached and another one is reportedly joining the cast!

Charlie Cox is rumored to be reprising his role as Daredevil in the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe movie, which is currently in production.

The 37-year-old actor played the character in the Netflix television series, which was canceled in November 2018. Variety reported back then that Netflix had a clause that prevented characters from their series from appearing β€œin any non-Netflix series or film for at least two years after cancellation.”

It has been two years since Daredevil‘s cancellation, so that gives Marvel the freedom to include the character in the MCU. Now, the often reliable fansite Murphy’s Multiverse is reporting that Charlie will play the superhero in the upcoming Spider-Man movie.

Back in May, Charlie explained why he didn’t think a fourth season of Daredevil would happen.

It was reported earlier this week that another major former Marvel star will appear in the movie.

Charlie Cox Explains Why He Doesn't Think 'Daredevil' Season Four Will Happen

It sounds like Charlie Cox is done with Daredevil.

During a new interview, the 37-year-old actor was asked if he thinks a season four of Daredevil will ever happen.

“I don’t feel that way, no. And, I don’t know why I don’t feel that way,” Charlie shared with ComicBook. “But, I haven’t been given any reason to believe that. And, from a cynical point of view, it just feels like maybe I’m trying to protect myself, ’cause I’d love nothing more than to do it again.”

Charlie also pointed out that he and the rest of the cast have all moved on to different projects. He currently stars alongside Tom Hiddleston in the Broadway play Betrayal.

“But when you make a television show, it’s so complicated, and people’s schedules are so difficult, and contracts are so difficult,” Charlie added. “So that’s why when, as an actor, when you sign onto a TV show, you sign six years of your life away. Because, if you don’t do that, it becomes too complicated to try and get all these moving pieces.”

Daredevil was canceled by Netflix back in November 2018 after three seasons.
