Jason Mraz is opening up about his sexuality after a poem he released for Pride Month got people speculating.

The 41-year-old singer previously wrote a line saying “I am bi your side” in his poem for Billboard.com‘s Pride Month feature.

“Honestly, I didn’t realize it was going to be so telling,” Jason told the outlet while discussing the poem in a new interview. “But I’ve had experiences with men, even while I was dating the woman who became my wife. It was like, ‘Wow, does that mean I am gay?’ And my wife laid it out for me. She calls it ‘two spirit,’ which is what the Native Americans call someone who can love both man and woman. I really like that.”

The 41-year-old singer dropped the cute video and upbeat tune on Thursday (July 5).

“Might As Well Dance” will be included on Jason‘s upcoming album Know. – the follow-up to 2014′s Yes! – which is set for release on August 10.

“My favorite song from the new album has arrived!” Jason shared on Instagram. “‘Might As Well Dance,’ produced by @dremusic123 and featuring @moodymill on lead guitar, is a country-funk jam written to make my favorite someone smile. Check out the music video, directed by @jeffcoffmanfilm, to see who that special someone is.”

Jason and Christina got married back in October 2015 in Virginia.

Jason Mraz married his fiancee Tina Carano on Sunday (October 25) in Virginia!

“We can confirm that Jason Mraz married longtime girlfriend Tina Carano, a former Hermosa Beach, CA, coffee shop owner originally from Royal Oak, MI, yesterday in a private ceremony at the Pole Green Historic Church in Mechanicsville, VA, where Mraz grew up,” his rep told Us Weekly. “About 50 close friends and family attended the wedding, which took place outside on a beautiful fall day.”
