Dolly Parton, Jenifer Lewis, & Christine Baranski to Star in New Netflix Christmas Movie

Dolly Parton is bringing Christmas to Netflix!

The 74-year-old entertainer’s song “Christmas On The Square” – off of her upcoming holiday album A Holly Dolly Christmas – will be turned into a movie on the streaming site.

Dolly will produce the movie, and star in it alongside Christine Baranski, Jenifer Lewis, Treat Williams, and Jeanine Mason. Grey’s Anatomy star Debbie Allen will be directing the movie.

Christmas On The Square follows Christine as Regina, “a rich and nasty woman who returns to her small hometown after her father’s death to evict everyone and sell the land to a mall developer — right before Christmas. However, after listening to stories of the local townsfolk, reconnecting with an old love, and accepting the guidance of an actual angel (Parton), Regina starts to have a change of heart,” according to THR.

Christmas On The Square will be released on Netflix on November 22!

'The Good Fight' Season 4 Will End Early Due to Pandemic, Season 5 Renewal Confirmed

We have some good news and some bad news for fans of The Good Fight.

First for the good news, CBS All Access has announced that the show has been renewed for an upcoming fifth season. The bad news is that the current fourth season is being cut short and will end after the seventh episode.

Season four was intended to have 10 episodes, but the final three episodes could not be made because of the pandemic. The season will end on Thursday, May 28.

“It’s been weird to not be able to finish the fourth season,” said series creators Robert and Michelle King. “It left the story in even more absurd a place than usual. So we’re thrilled that CBS All Access wants to bring The Good Fight back for an additional season, and we know what story we’re planning to tell. It’s like getting the answers to the SAT ahead of time.”

CBS All Access just sold a series to The CW to be aired later this fall!

Patti LuPone Jokes That Meryl Streep & Friends 'Trashed' the Iconic Song 'Ladies Who Lunch'

Patti LuPone is sharing her thoughts on the iconic performance of “The Ladies Who Lunch” during the Sondheim birthday celebration last weekend.

The two-time Tony-winning actress has been performing the song in the Broadway musical Company and now she doesn’t know if she’s going to be able to sing it ever again.

Meryl Streep, Christine Baranski, and Audra McDonald sang the number while celebrating composer Stephen Sondheim‘s birthday and Patti joked that they “trashed the number.”

“When it was over, I went, ‘I’ll never be able to sing ‘Ladies Who Lunch’ again!’” Patti said in an interview with PrideSource. “I don’t think they set the bar – I think they trashed the number!”

The reporter then asked, “They set the bar for trashing the number?”

Patti responded, “Yeah, exactly! That’s what I think! I mean, I say that with great humor, but I’m not going to be able to sing it without thinking of them doing it. (Laughs.) This is all joke, by the way! This is all humor!”
