Laura Osnes was scheduled to go on the road in the upcoming Disney Princess – The Concert tour, but she has been replaced.

A spokesperson for the tour has confirmed that Osnes will no longer participate amid the news that she refuses to get the COVID-19 vaccine.

The rep told Deadline that the tour “will follow Disney Concerts’ COVID-19 safety policy, requiring cast and touring crew to be fully vaccinated, and will adhere to all local health protocols at each tour stop in an effort to maintain a safe concert experience for our patrons, local crews, and the entire touring company.”

The Broadway musical Anastasia will be closing this spring after two years.

The musical is based on the animated film of the same name and starred Christy Altomare in the title role. She remains as the star of the show and Cody Simpson is currently her leading man!

Anastasia will close on March 31, 2019 following 808 regular and 34 preview performances at the Broadhurst Theatre. The show will continue to play around the world on the US National Tour and in several international productions.

“Generations from now, people will continue to perform our beautiful musical about a strong young woman and its themes of Home, Love and Family,” said producer Tom Kirdahy. “We couldn’t be more proud.”

“Anastasia will forever live in the hearts and minds of musical fans all over the world” said producer Dan Hinde. “We are eager to continue Anya’s journey across the globe.”

Australian singer Cody Simpson is currently starring on Broadway in the musical Anastasia and a bunch of new photos of him as Dmitry have been released!

Cody is starring alongside Christy Altomare, who plays the title character in the show.

“He really is this character. He really is Dmitry. He doesn’t have to play it, he doesn’t have to try it. There are certain things Dmitry has to tap into and he doesn’t even have to try. It’s just there,” Christy told Broadway.com. “He embodies, in my mind, what Dmitry is supposed to be.”

Earlier that night, the entire cast took their opening night bows on stage at the Broadhurst Theater. The clip features the music for the classic song “Journey to the Past” as sung by Broadway star Christy Altomare, who will play the title character on stage.

Performances for the musical begin on March 23 and the official opening night is on April 24.
