A first look at Netflix’s Eric is here!

The upcoming limited series stars Benedict Cumberbatch, Gaby Hoffman, McKinley Belcher III, Dan Fogler, and Clarke Peters.

Here’s the official synopsis: “Set in 1980s New York, Eric is a new emotional thriller from Abi Morgan following the desperate search of a father when his nine-year-old son disappears one morning on the way to school. Vincent, one of New York’s leading puppeteers and creator of the hugely popular children’s television show, ‘Good Day Sunshine,’ struggles to cope with the loss of his son, Edgar, becoming increasingly distressed and volatile. Full of self-loathing and guilt around Edgar’s disappearance, he clings to his son’s drawings of a blue monster puppet, ERIC, convinced that if he can get ERIC on TV then Edgar will come home. As Vincent’s progressively destructive behavior alienates his family, his work colleagues, and the detectives trying to help him, it’s Eric, a delusion of necessity, who becomes his only ally in the pursuit to bring his son home.”

Naomi Ackie looks stunning at the premiere of her new Whitney Houston movie!

The 30-year-old actress, best known for her work in The End of the F***ing World, plays the iconic singer in the new film I Wanna Dance With Somebody. She walked the carpet at the world premiere screening on Tuesday (December 13) at the AMC Lincoln Square Theater in New York City.

Naomi was joined by her co-stars Stanley Tucci, Nafessa Williams, Clarke Peters, Tamara Tunie, Ashton Sanders, Tanner Beard, and Kris Sidberry, as well as director Kasi Lemmons.

Stanley, who portrays music exec Clive Davis in the film, posed with the real-life figure on the carpet.

Naomie Harris shines in a lime green dress while arriving at the premiere of The Man Who Fell To Earth held at Museum of Modern Art on Tuesday night (April 19) in New York City.

The 45-year-old actress met up with her co-stars Jimmi Simpson and Bill Nighy on the red carpet, as well as Sonya Cassidy, Annelle Olaleye, Joana Ribeiro, Kate Mulgrew, and Clarke Peters.

Here’s the official summary for the new series: Based on the Walter Tevis novel of the same name and the iconic film, The Man Who Fell To Earth will follow a new alien character (Chiwetel Ejiofor) who arrives on Earth at a turning point in human evolution and must confront his own past to determine our future.

The series will premiere this weekend, Sunday, April 24, on Showtime!

Clarke Peters is speaking out after hearing of Chadwick Boseman‘s shocking death from colon cancer last week.

The 68-year-old actor, who worked with Chadwick on Da 5 Bloods, revealed he does have regrets from judging the Black Panther star while on the set of the Spike Lee film.

“When I look back at that time, I have to say with a little bit of regret that I probably wasn’t the most altruistic in that environment. But hindsight teaches us a lot of things,” he shared while speaking with Good Morning Britain.

He continued, “What I’m addressing is basically, my wife asked what Chadwick was like. I was really excited to work with him. I said, ‘I think he’s a little bit precious.’ And she said, ‘Why?’ And I said, ‘Because he’s surrounded by people who are fawning over him.’”

“He’s got a Chinese practitioner who’s massaging his back when he walks off set. He’s got a makeup lady who’s massaging his feet. His girlfriend is there holding his hand,” Clarke recalled. “And I’m thinking maybe the Black Panther thing went to his head.”

Now, looking back and realizing that Chadwick was actually fighting for his life in the battle with cancer, Clarke regrets his judgement of him, and got emotional thinking about how he did.

“Now I have to…I regret even having those thoughts because they were really looking after him.”

Earlier today, it was revealed only a select few actually knew what Chadwick was going through.

Ruth Wilson strikes a pose at the global premiere of her brand new HBO and BBC series His Dark Materials held at BFI Southbank on Tuesday (October 15) in London, England.

The 37-year-old actress Dafne Keen, Ruta Gedmintas, Daniel Frogson, Will Keen, Simon Manyonda, Clarke Peters and Mat Fraser, as well as series writers Sir Philip Pullman and Jack Thorne.

Ruth Wilson recently expressed that she “couldn’t say no” to playing Mrs Coulter in His Dark Materials because the character was described as a “cesspit of moral filth.”

Dafne, who plays young heroine Lyra in the series, also opened up about playing opposite Ruth: “You quickly forget that Ruth is a lovely woman. She genuinely does look like a psychopath,” she said. “But when it’s a very intense scene and we’re getting too much into a mood ourselves, we smile through it. We joke. And when we cut, I smile so that people can see that I’m not mentally scarred for the rest of my life.”
