Conor McGregor was arrested in Corsica, but he is denying the allegations that are being made against him.

The 32-year-old UFC fighter was arrested by French officials after an incident that allegedly happened at a bar.

“Following a complaint filed on September 10 denouncing acts that could be described as attempted sexual assault and sexual exhibition, Mr. Conor Anthony Mac Gregor was the subject of a hearing by the gendarmerie services,” prosecutors said in a statement (via TMZ).

Conor‘s rep said in a statement, “Conor Mcgregor vigorously denies any accusations of misconduct. He has been interviewed and released.”

Conor has been on vacation in the South of France for most of the summer and he just recently proposed to his longtime love Dee Devlin. They showed off her ring in a social media post last month.

Joining Conor at the beach were his kids Conor Jr, 3, and daughter Croia, 18 months (not pictured).

Conor McGregor has made the surprise announcement that he is retiring from fighting.

The 31-year-old fighter is no stranger to making retirement announcements, so fans aren’t so sure that this is for real.

Conor first told fans that he was retiring in 2016 and then he did it again in 2019.

“Hey guys I’ve decided to retire from fighting,” Conor wrote on Twitter on late Saturday night (June 6) along with a photo of him and his mom. “Thank you all for the amazing memories! What a ride it’s been! Here is a picture of myself and my mother in Las Vegas post one of my World title wins! Pick the home of your dreams Mags I love you! Whatever you desire it’s yours”

Dana White, the president of UFC, commented on the tweet and said the announcement may have happened because of the pandemic.

“I’ll remind everybody that we’re in a pandemic. The world is a crazy place right now with all these things that are going on,” Dana said (via USA Today). “I think that everybody feels this right now. There’s no fans. We can’t travel the fights around. I think everybody is pissed off, confused, been locked up in their houses for three-and-a-half months. People are wearing masks. There’s protests. There’s riots. The list goes on and on. If you don’t think what I’m doing right now is probably the hardest thing that I’ve ever done, and you don’t think three times a day I throw my (expletive) hands up and I’m ready to say, ‘(Expletive) this (expletive).’ The amount of people I have gunning at me right now is insane.”

Conor and his longtime love Dee Devlin are the parents of two kids – Conor Jr., 3, and Croia, 17 months.

Conor McGregor is under investigation.

The 30-year-old Ultimate Fighting Championship star is being investigated in Ireland after a woman accused him of sexual assault in December, according to a new report on Tuesday (March 26) by the New York Times.

Conor was arrested in January, and then questioned by authorities and released pending the investigation according to the report.

The accuser is a woman in her twenties who claims she was with friends in South Dublin before ending up at the Beacon Hotel. She reportedly went to police and filed a report, and was then taken to a nearby hospital where she was treated in the Sexual Assault Treatment Unit, according to local reports.

On the same day as the investigation was reported by the New York Times, Conor announced his retirement, but a spokesperson said it was unrelated to the investigation.

“This story has been circulating for some time and it is unclear why it is being reported now. The assumption that the Conor retirement announcement today is related to this rumor is absolutely false,” the rep said in a statement.
