Damon Dash Slams Jay-Z & Roc-A-Fella Amid 'Reasonable Doubt' NFT Legal Battle

Damon Dash is hitting back.

In case you missed it, TMZ reported on Friday (June 18) that Jay-Z‘s Roc-A-Fella records is currently suing Damon, who is the co-founder of the label, for allegedly attempting to auction off the rapper’s 1996 debut album Reasonable Doubt as an NFT.

While the first auction has since been cancelled, the lawsuit claims, “Dash is frantically scouting for another venue to make the sale… The sale of this irreplaceable asset must be stopped before it is too late, and Dash must be held accountable for his theft.”

Damon spoke with Page Six on Monday (June 21) about their legal battle and had some strong words to say against his former business partner.

Aaliyah's Ex Damon Dash Speaks Out About R. Kelly Relationship

Aaliyah‘s ex-boyfriend Damon Dash is sharing his thoughts on her relationship with R. Kelly.

The 48-year-old entrepreneur and co-founder of Roc-A-Fella opened up in a clip from the upcoming series Surviving R. Kelly Part II: The Reckoning, posted by TMZ on Thursday (January 2).

R. Kelly is currently incarcerated, facing charges of sex-trafficking, sexual assault, and child pornography.

Aaliyah was like the sacrificial lamb for all that, bro, because she didn’t deserve none of that,” Damon says in the preview. “Good soul, good girl, and wasn’t even really so resentful — like, ‘Let that man live, but keep him the f— away from me.’ That’s all she wanted, she was just happy to be away.”

Damon and Aaliyah met in 2000 and dated until she died in a plane crash in 2001 at age 22.

Damon says he knew “the whole story,” remarking, “I know it was the cover-up and all of that, but how does that cover it up? It just made the conversation less crazy, like, ‘Oh, he married a child.’”

“That was a headline, that was like, a rumor,” Damon continued. “That was something talked about like it was normal. It wasn’t like, ‘Ew, disgusting, you married a 13-year-old.’ It was like, ‘Oh you married Aaliyah?’ She’s 13.”

The interviewer then corrects Damon Dash to let him know that Aaliyah was 15, not 13, when she and R. Kelly got married, to which Damon replied, “Yeah, but 15 is 13, man. I don’t have to be accurate because I don’t care. 15, 13, anything under 18 is disgusting. She was a child.”

Surviving R. Kelly Part II: The Reckoning will air in three parts on January 2, 3, and 4.

Damon Dash Is Being Sued for $50 Million for Alleged Sexual Battery

Damon Dash is sued and being accused of sexual battery.

The 48-year-old music mogul is being accused by photographer Monique Bunn in a $50 million federal lawsuit against himself, his fiance Raquel Horn and his entertainment companies, The Blast reported on Thursday (December 26).

In the suit, she accuses Damon of sexual assault at his home.

“While Bunn was at the Dash residence on April 18, 2019, in the late evening, Dash sexually assaulted Bunn. While Bunn was sleeping, Dash approached Bunn and placed his hand on Bunn’s breasts and placed hands/fingers on Bunn’s buttocks. Dash did not have the permission or consent to touch Bunn’s sexual organs. Dash was wearing a robe and had no underwear on. Dash had been drinking alcohol and smoking marijuana all day,” the suit reads.

She accuses the couple of refusing to return personal photography equipment and hard drives.

“On the drives owned by the Plaintiff were over twenty (20) years of hip-hop culture photography and other items,” the suit reads.

She is suing for the return of her property and $50 million in damages. For more details about the case, head to The Blast.

Hip-Hop Mogul Damon Dash Arrested for Unpaid Child Support

Damon Dash is dealing with child support debt.

The 48-year-old Roc-A-Fella co-founder was just arrested for failing to pay child support on Wednesday (November 20) in New York City, according to TMZ.

He reportedly failed to pay two of the mothers of his children, Rachel Roy and Cindy Morales, in overdue child support, and was able to walk free shortly after being arrested.

Earlier in the year, it was revealed Damon owed nearly $400,000 to both of the women, which has reportedly only increased.

When he went to a Manhattan courthouse to attempt to take care of the warrants, he stepped into one to pay “about a half million dollars” to clear one warrant. While trying to go to another courtroom, he was arrested and processed, then escorted to Brooklyn to take care of the other warrant.

He reportedly spent over a million dollars to clear his name, and it is now all taken care of following the arrest.
