David Bowie took home a major award at the 2017 Brit Awards and Michael C. Hall accepted it on his behalf!

When the late performer won Best Male Solo Artist, Michael, who played Lazarus in the Broadway adaptation of David‘s film The Man Who Fell to Earth, took to the stage to accept the honor.

“If David Bowie could be here tonight, he probably wouldn’t be here,” he joked, later adding, “His daring artistic vitality soothes, sears and astounds us. His kindness, generosity and enthusiasm inspire me to be a better man.”

The award show was also attended by Maisie Williams, Louisa Johnson, Zara Larsson, David Tennant, Simon Cowell and Naomi Campbell.

David Bowie won five posthumous awards at the 2017 Grammy Awards and his son, director Duncan Jones, paid tribute to him after some of the wins.

Four of the categories were announced during the pre-show and Duncan took to Twitter after hearing the news of those wins.

“So proud of you dad! Would hold you up forever. ❤️ #grammys2017,” Duncan captioned a photo of his dad in his arms. See it below!

David Bowie picked up five awards at the 2017 Grammys, over a year after he passed away following a battle with liver cancer.

The late singer released his album Blackstar two days before he died in January 2016 and the album took home a bunch of award.

Blackstar won Best Alternative Music Album, Best Engineered Album (Non-Classical), and Best Recording Package, and the song “Blackstar” won the awards for Best Rock Performance and Best Rock Song.

Many people were surprised that David was not nominated for Album of the Year, but it looks like the Grammys made up for it by awarding him everything that he was nominated for!

Iman shared a tribute to her husband David Bowie on the one year anniversary of his death today.

The 69-year-old legendary entertainer died on January 10, 2016 after an 18 month battle with cancer.

Iman took to her Instagram and posted a photo of a rainbow over New York City.

“Jan 10th, 2016 NYC Skyline #ForeverAndEver #ForeverLove #BowieForever,” Iman captioned the photo on her social media. Iman posts about David often on her Instagram account.

David and Iman married on June 6, 1992.

Iman looks radiant in her blue suit while attending the Tom Ford fashion show held during New York Fashion Week on Wednesday (September 7) in New York City.

The 61-year-old model made her first public appearance since the death of her husband David Bowie back in January.

“My first night out attending an event since last year!” Iman wrote on Instagram while getting glammed for the show.

Iman opened up to Joe Zee during a segment for GMA taped at the event.

“I’m holding up, I’m holding up,” she said. “Today was [the] first day of school.”

“I’m wearing it until my death,” Iman said about a necklace made for her by designer Hedi Slimane. It had the name of her late husband of it. She added, “It’s been a tough year. But I’m holding up.”

Duncan Jones and his wife Rodene Ronquillo have welcomed their first child, a son named Stenton David Jones!

The 45-year-old Warcraft director named his son after his late dad, David Bowie.

“Stenton David Jones. Born July 10th, exactly six months after his granddad made room for him. Love you both so,” Duncan tweeted.

“All my love and awe to the incredible @rodeneronquillo who made a human being in her belly. Warrior woman & every day, my hero,” he added as a tribute to his wife.
