David Cross Defends Jeffrey Tambor After 'Transparent' Exit Over Sexual Misconduct Allegations

David Cross, who has starred with Jeffrey Tambor on Arrested Development, is defending his former co-star.

Tambor was let go from Amazon’s Transparent after an investigation into allegations of sexual misconduct.

“I can’t speak for everybody [on Arrested Development], but I know there are a number of us who stand behind him — from the limited amount we know, we stand behind Jeffrey – and I am one of them,” David said. “I think it’s very curious that Amazon didn’t make public the results of their internal investigation. I’m not sure why they would do that. I just know the whole thing is rather curious to me.”

The Arrested Development cast also includes Jason Bateman, Portia de Rossi, Will Arnett, Michael Cera and Alia Shawkat. The fifth season of Arrested Development was filming over the summer.

David Cross Apologizes to Charlyne Yi Again on Twitter

David Cross is once again apologizing to actress Charlyne Yi after she accused him of saying racist comments to her several years ago.

The 53-year-old actor’s wife Amber Tamblyn has spoken out to show her support for Charlyne and also defend her husband.

Charlyne took to Twitter this weekend to ask people not to throw hate at David and Amber.

“I don’t support anyone who has taken this tango between @davidcrosss & I to use it as an opportunity to threaten or spread hate onto him & @ambertamblyn. It doesn’t help matters whatsoever. We have a lot of growing to do, us weird human beings with our all our pain,” she tweeted. “We’re all just afraid, fragile creatures trying to learn how to build bridges to find peace with one another. When both David & my walls fall down, hopefully we can have a heart to heart, & laugh & cry. Communication from the heart is the only way. Peace.”

David replied to these tweets by saying, “Charlyne I’m sorry that I hurt you and that this whole thing played out as it did. I look forward to communicating whenever you see fit.”

Amber Tamblyn Defends David Cross Amid Charlyne Yi's Racism Accusations

Amber Tamblyn is defending her husband David Cross after Charlyne Yi tweeted that she had an interaction with him where he made racially insensitive remarks.

The 34-year-old actress was tagged in a tweet sharing Charlyne‘s original story. The Twitter user wrote, “Ugh what is he doing?? Meanwhile his wife, the lovely @ambertamblyn, is such an advocate and force of nature.”

Another wrote, “Men are canceled. All of them,” to which Amber then replied, “He said he was sorry, publicly, several times. Please don’t @ me in conversations dragging my husband. Thanks.”

David Cross Responds to Charlyne Yi's Accusations Over Racist Encounter

Charlyne Yi tweeted about an encounter she had with David Cross years ago, and now he’s responding.

The 31-year-old actress wrote, “I think about the first time I met David Cross ten years ago & he made fun of my pants (that were tattered because I was poor). Dumbfounded I stared at him speechless and he said to me ‘what’s a matter? You don’t speak English?? Ching-chong-ching-chong.’”

She continued, “Then after he saw I was offended he asked me if I was going to fight with him karate in a southern accent. Then a few years later he was re-introduced to me after my comedy show with his girlfriend at the time & he said ‘Hi nice to meet you.’ I can tell the difference between this man making a joke vs condescending me. This happened 10 years ago and I sure as hell hope he’s changed (or at the very least, he’s scared enough to not be his racist self).”

David responded on Twitter, which you can read below…
