The Nun is hitting theaters this weekend and the movie is expected to have a massive debut at the box office!

The actors were joined at the event by co-stars Jonas Bloquet, Ingrid Bisu, August Maturo, and Bonnie Aarons, who plays The Nun.

The Nun is the latest movie in The Conjuring universe and experts believe that it will debut with more than $40 million for its opening weekend box office. The biggest opening so far for the franchise was the first movie’s $41.8 million in 2013.

The Nun, the film focusing on one of the scary characters from The Conjuring 2, has debuted its first trailer.

Here’s a synopsis: When a young nun at a cloistered abbey in Romania takes her own life, a priest with a haunted past and a novitiate on the threshold of her final vows are sent by the Vatican to investigate. Risking not only their lives but their faith and their very souls, they confront a malevolent force in the form of the same demonic nun that first terrorized audiences in “The Conjuring 2,” as the abbey becomes a horrific battleground between the living and the damned.

The drama, produced by Eva Longoria, is set at the last family-owned hotel in multicultural Miami Beach. Charismatic Santiago Mendoza (Bichir) owns the hotel, while his glamorous second wife, Gigi (Sanchez), and their adult children enjoy the spoils of success.
