Derek Jeter is taking a massive paycut during the coronavirus pandemic.

The 45-year-old Hall of Famer announced today (April 20) that he’d be “indefinitely forgoing his salary” for the time being, according to ESPN.

Derek reportedly makes $5 million annually, and he told members of baseball ops on a phone call that they would all be paid through at least May 31.

Other reports stated that other members of the Marlins’ executive team have also agreed to take pay cuts.

Derek joins many other executives throughout major industries in taking paycuts, including Anna Wintour and Bob Iger.

Derek Jeter is showing off his daughters for the first time ever!

The 45-year-old retired Yankee player took to his The Players’ Tribune website on Wednesday (January 22) to share a video of himself, wife Hannah Jeter, and their two daughters Bella, 2, and Story, 1, receiving the call that he was elected into the Baseball Hall of Fame.

“The Call – A phone call 25 years in the making,” the video caption reads.

In the video, Derek, Hannah, and their daughters are joined by his parents as they celebrate the news that he will be joining other baseball legends in the Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, New York.

Derek will be inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame on July 26 in Cooperstown.

Derek Jeter and wife Hannah are all smiles as they arrive at the 2019 Turn 2 Foundation Gala on Monday night (October 7) at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City.

The 45-year-old former Yankee player hosted the event with his sister Sharlee Jeter, who serves as president of the foundation – which Derek launched in 1996 to help motivate kids to turn away from drugs and alcohol and “Turn 2” healthy lifestyles.

While arriving at the event, Derek opened up about raising his two daughters – Bella, 2, and Story, 9 months – with wife Hannah.

“Our second is not walking yet, which is a bonus, because once she’s up and about and moving around, it [will] become more difficult,” Derek shared with Us Weekly.

Also stepping out for the event was Hoda Kotb, who served as emcee for the night, along with Olympic gymnast Aly Raisman.

This year’s event raised over $1.1 million to support the foundation’s programs.

The duo coupled up to attend a pre-ESPYs party on Monday evening (July 9) at the Dream Hollywood Hotel in Hollywood, Calif.

Derek and Hannah were all smiles while leaving the soiree, while Derek stopped to sign some baseball memorabilia.

The couple last stepped out for an event late last year, before Hannah gave birth to their second child.

They are now proud parents to five-month-old Story Grey Jeter and one-year-old Bella Raine.

The Players Tribune, the website co-founded by Derek himself, made the announcement on Thursday (January 31).

“Congratulations Derek and Hannah on the birth of your second baby girl, Story Grey Jeter. Welcome to the family, #2,” The Players Tribune tweeted out moments ago.

Story Grey joins big sister Bella Raine, who was born in August of 2017.

Congrats to the couple on the wonderful new addition! We can’t wait to see her first photos!

Derek Jeter has nothing but praise for his wife Hannah.

“My wife deserves a lot of credit. She has been an unbelievable mother, she has a great deal of patience — not only with my daughter, but with me,” the 44-year-old former Yankees player expressed at Bar Bevy Miami (via People) while celebrating his cover story in Ocean Drive Magazine on Thursday night (November 15) in Miami, Fla.

Derek was accompanied at the event by Hannah, who is pregnant with their second child but has yet to confirm the news herself.

The couple are already parents to 1-year-old daughter Bella.
