Whitney Houston‘s cousin Dionne Warwick is reacting to plans for the late singer to be a part of a hologram tour.

The 78-year-old legendary entertainer doesn’t think it’s a good idea for a hologram to perform Whitney‘s hits in front of her original band and backup singers.

“I haven’t a clue as to what that is. It’s surprising to me,” Dionne told Entertainment Tonight.

She added, “I don’t know what it is. I think it’s stupid, but whatever it is that’s what it is.”

In addition to plans for a hologram tour, Whitney‘s estate also announced plans for a new album of unreleased material and a Broadway musical.

Dionne Warwick is getting candid about her thoughts on today’s music.

The 78-year-old “Say A Little Prayer” music legend opened up in an interview with Essence upon the release of her new album, She’s Back.

When asked if there are any classics among today’s music, she laughed and said: “Not yet.”

“I don’t know if ten years from now, anybody can actually sing the songs of our babies today. That’s not, as you guys say, ‘throwing shade,’ it’s looking at it with reality,” she went on to say.

She was also asked about Beyonce, and whether she was considered an icon.

“Watching her grow has been quite refreshing. It’s wonderful to see how she’s been able to create what and who she wanted to be and who she is…very proud of that, I really am. Now, sustaining and becoming a big icon?” she explained.

“That Gladys Knight, or Patti LaBelle, or Johnny Mathis, or Frank Sinatra, or Sammy Davis Jr. is?”

“I doubt that. And I love her to death and can appreciate her talent. But that iconic status? It’s a long road [ahead],” she said.

Dionne Warwick and Chaka Khan arrive at the 2019 Grammy Awards!

The 78-year-old “Walk on By” singer and the 65-year-old “I Feel For You” crooner attended the event held on Sunday (February 10) at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

Dionne, wearing a white dress with a tan coat, was joined by son Damon Elliott.

Chaka donned a black and gold dress with thigh-high black boots.

The show will be hosted this year by 15-time Grammy winner Alicia Keys. Make sure to tune in at 8pm ET/5pm PT on CBS!

Angela Bassett is all smiles on the red carpet as she arrives at Clive Davis’ Pre-Grammy Gala and Grammy Salute Industry Icons Honoring Clarence Avant on Saturday night (February 9) at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif.

Whitney Houston‘s mother, Cissy Houston, and Cissy‘s niece Dionne Warwick are breaking their silence on the allegation of sexual abuse made in the new documentary Whitney.

The documentary debuted at the Cannes Film Festival, and made the allegation that Whitney was molested by her cousin, Dee Dee Warwick, when she was a child.

Whitney‘s brother Gary also made an allegation in the documentary that he was molested by Dee Dee, who died in 2008.

The Whitney documentary is now available to see in theaters now.

Idris Elba had a little fun with Jimmy Fallon during his appearance on The Tonight Show on Monday (July 31) in New York City.

The 44-year-old actor played a game with the 42-year-old host called “Google Translate Songs” where they sang some famous tracks like Sir Mix A Lot‘s “Baby Got Back” and Boyz II Men‘s “I’ll Make Love to You,” but translated the lyrics using Google – which doesn’t always give you the exact translation.

That same evening, Idris switched up his outfit to join his daughter Isan Elba and her gal pal at the special New York screening of his latest film Dark Tower held at the New Museum of Modern Art.

Idris was also joined by his co-stars Kathryn Winnick, Abbey Lee, Fran Kranz, Tom Taylor, Michael Barbieri, Eva Kaminsky, director Nikolaj Arcel, as well as Whoopi Goldberg and Dionne Warwick, who came out to show their support.
