Matthew Perry and Jonah Hill are hard at work on Don’t Look Up!

The 51-year-old Friends actor and the 36-year-old Superbad actor filmed a political rally scene for their new movie on Saturday evening (December 12) in Boston, Mass.

The guys were also joined on stage by an actor, who was dressed up looking very similar to Kid Rock.

Earlier that day, Matt and Jonah‘s co-stars Jennifer Lawrence and Leonardo DiCaprio were spotted boarding the USS Massachusetts, a naval battleship, while on set of the new movie.

Don’t Look Up centers “on two low-level scientists (Lawrence and DiCaprio) who, upon discovering that a meteor will strike the Earth in six months, go on a media tour to try to warn the world but find an unreceptive and unbelieving populace.” There are SO MANY A-list stars in this cast.

Jennifer Lawrence and Leonardo DiCaprio are hard at work on their upcoming Netflix movie Don’t Look Up!

In the first photos from set, the 30-year-old Oscar-winning actress was seen getting arrested by an undercover officer. The photos were snapped on Monday (November 30) in Boston, Mass.

Jennifer was spotted with a new red hairdo, though it’s likely that she’s wearing a wig.

On Tuesday (December 1), Jennifer and Leo were both seen walking around set in their face shields after wrapping up another day of filming. The cast and crew took over a platform at South Station for the shoot.

Netflix and Adam McKay are giving previously announced star Jennifer Lawrence so many co-stars in the upcoming ensemble movie, according to Deadline on Wednesday (October 14).

Meryl Streep, Cate Blanchett, Jonah Hill, Himesh Patel, Kid Cudi, Matthew Perry and Tomer Sisley are also joining the cast, which also includes the previously announced Rob Morgan.

Adam will write, direct and co-produce.

The comedy is about “two scientists who discover that a meteor will strike the Earth in six months. They go on a media tour trying to warn the world but find an unreceptive and unbelieving populace.”

“She’s what folks in the 17th century used to call ‘a dynamite act.’ And the fact that Netflix sees this movie as a worldwide comedy sets the bar high for me and my team in an exciting and motivating way,” said Adam in a previous statement about booking Jennifer Lawrence.

According to the report, Leonardo had been weighing the project for some time, considering his schedule in filming Martin Scorsese‘s Killers of the Flower Moon.

A theatrical release “seems very likely,” but Deadline reports that this film is “a sign of things to come as it is unclear when theaters will fully reopen as more and more movies are either pushing their release dates or move from a studio to a streamer.”
