Cole Emhoff and Ella Emhoff are ready for the 2021 presidential inauguration ceremony.

The 26-year-old and 21-year-old children of future Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff and his first wife Kerstin Mackin arrived at the U.S. Capitol for the ceremony on Wednesday (January 20).

The two refer to Kamala by the nickname “Momala” following her marriage to their entertainment lawyer father in 2014. They have also been along for the ride on the campaign trail over the past years.

Cole and Ella have been very supportive of their stepmom and father along the campaign trail, and Doug has previously described them all as one “big blended family.”

Cole is named for saxophonist John Coltrane, while his Ella‘s name is a tribute to the singer Ella Fitzgerald. Their mother also executive produces music videos, including the one for Beyonce’s song “Pretty Hurts”!

Cole studied psychology at Colorado College and worked at talent agency William Morris Endeavor, as well as being an executive assistant for Plan B Entertainment, the production company originally founded by Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston. Ella makes her own custom knitwear and has fashion industry aspirations.

President-elect Joe Biden is about to be sworn into office!

The President-elect of the United States and future First Lady Dr. Jill Biden joined Vice President-elect Kamala Harris and future Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff on the steps of the U.S. Capitol on Wednesday (January 20) ahead of the 2021 presidential inauguration ceremony in Washington, D.C.

The four all stopped to turn around and wave as they made their way in from the East Front of the U.S. Capitol. Joe Biden will become the 46th President of the United States during the ceremony.

The Vice President Elect chose to wear Christopher John Rogers and Sergio Hudson for her Inauguration Day look. Christopher is a young black designer hailing from Baton Rouge and currently based in New York City. Sergio is a black designer who is originally from South Carolina.

Dr. Jill Biden is in a Markarian matching coat and dress set. Joe Biden is wearing Ralph Lauren.

Joe Biden and Kamala Harris did some good deeds on Martin Luther King Jr. Day!

The President-elect and Vice President-elect were both spotted volunteering on Monday (January 18), just two days before the inauguration.

Joe and some of his family members helped volunteers fill food donation boxes at the Philabundance food bank in Philadelphia, Penn.

“Service is a fitting way to start to heal, unite, and rebuild this country we love. I hope you’ll join us in honoring the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. by participating in the National Day of Service,” Joe tweeted over the weekend.

Kamala was joined by her husband, future Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff, while packing bags of food at the Martha’s Table organization in Washington, D.C.

Kamala Harris‘ husband Doug Emhoff is opening up about potentially becoming the first “second gentleman” of the White House.

The 56-year-old attorney, who is currently on leave of absence from his law firm while on the campaign trail with his wife, opened up about his plans should Sen. Harris become the Vice President of the United States in an interview with People.

During the chat, he said he has no plans to head up a “kitchen cabinet” of advisers.

“I’m her husband, that’s it,” he went on to say.

“She’s got plenty of great people giving her political advice. I’m her partner, I’m her best friend and I’m her husband. And that’s what I’m here for. I’m here to have her back.”

“Doug is extremely patient, he really is. And he has an incredible sense of humor,” Kamala said of her husband.

“One of the things that really allows us to get through these moments that are obviously very stressful — we’re talking about the future of the free world — it’s important to be able to laugh at yourself and each other. We do a healthy amount of both of that. We don’t take ourselves too seriously in the context of our relationship. You can’t. You just have to flow and know what’s really important.”

Kamala and Doug first met back in 2013 on a blind date, and then married the next year. He has two children from his first marriage, son Cole and daughter Ella.
