Wolfgang Van Halen and his mom Valerie Bertinelli are slamming the upcoming documentary about the death of his father, Eddie Van Halen.

On Sunday (June 5), Reelz will be airing their new documentary, titled Autopsy: The Last Hours of Eddie Van Halen, about the death of the late rocker, who lost his battle to throat cancer in 2020 at the age of 65.

Ahead of the documentary’s release, Wolfgang, 31, took to social media to slam the Reelz network, and issued a message to anyone who plans on viewing it.

Jack White used his time on the Saturday Night Live stage to honor Eddie Van Halen.

During his performance on the show on Saturday (October 10), the 45-year-old singer had a special guitar that was placed in the background during his first performance of his collab “Don’t Hurt Yourself” with Beyonce.

Before the show, Jack to his Instagram to share a closer look at the guitar, which was made special in honor of Eddie.

I thought it could be a nice gesture for me to use this blue Eddie Van Halen model guitar for one of the songs tonight on SNL. The guitar was designed by Eddie (with a few customizations I had added),” Jack explained, sharing photos from the making of the guitar.

“Eddie was very kind to me and saw to it that this guitar was made for me to my specs. I won’t even insult the man’s talent by trying to play one of his songs tonight,” Jack shared, adding, “Thanks again Eddie for this guitar and rest in peace sir.”

Eddie sadly died earlier this week after a battle with cancer. He was 65.

Valerie Bertinelli is remembering her ex-husband Eddie Van Halen.

The 60-year-old actress and Food Network host took to her Twitter on Tuesday (October 6) to share a touching tribute honoring the musician after their son Wolfgang, 29, announced that Eddie had passed away after a battle with throat cancer.

“40 years ago my life changed forever when I met you,” Valerie wrote, while sharing an old family photo. “You gave me the one true light in my life, our son, Wolfgang.”

“Through all your challenging treatments for lung cancer, you kept your gorgeous spirit and that impish grin,” Valerie continued. “I’m so grateful Wolfie and I were able to hold you in your last moments. I will see you in our next life my love.”

Valerie and Eddie married in 1981 before separating in 2001 and getting divorced in 2007.

Valerie, Wolfgang, and Eddie‘s wife Janie Liszewski were all with him in the hospital when he died.
