The music stars of UK and Ireland are bringing in the big bucks!

A new study has revealed the highest earning musicians hailing from the UK and Ireland of 2022, and there are some huge, surprising figures.

BonusInsider looked into the data behind the wealth of several major superstars, and found that the top earner brought in £100 million (approximately $122.9 million) in the last year.

Elton John and Britney Spears‘ “Hold Me Closer” was selected as the favorite song of the year by fans, and the music legend is reacting to the happy news.

Elton and Britney joined forces on the track – a remix of his “Tiny Dancer” and “The One” – back in August. The pair made history on the Billboard Hot 100 when it debuted at the No. 6 spot.

Months later, Billboard readers voted en masse to label the song their favorite, with “Hold Me Closer” receiving almost 45% of the vote. Elton hopped on social media to share his reaction.

The list of the Top 30 highest-grossing concert tours of the year has been released!

Pollstar has dropped the touring data for the year and all of the concerts this year grossed $6.28 billion collectively, which is a new record.

One of the drivers in increasing tour revenue was the move from arena tours to stadium tours in 2022, with artists from all genres playing the biggest venues in the country.

Shockingly and sadly, only two women are in the Top 30 and you’re probably going to be surprised by some of the names on this list.

The data is just for North American shows instead of worldwide shows. We have some interesting info, including the average gross per show for each tour and the amount of tickets each artist sold.

Elton John got a response from Elon Musk after he announced plans to depart Twitter.

The 75-year-old “Rocket Man” star tweeted that he would be leaving the social media platform following a rise in misinformation.

“All my life I’ve tried to use music to bring people together. Yet it saddens me to see how misinformation is now being used to divide our world,” he wrote. “I’ve decided to no longer use Twitter, given their recent change in policy which will allow misinformation to flourish unchecked.”

Elon took to Twitter to pen a response.
