Evangeline Lilly Honors Stan Lee With a Touching Tribute

Evangeline Lilly is honoring the memory of Marvel icon Stan Lee, who sadly died on Monday (November 12).

The Ant-Man & The Wasp actress actress wrote a tribute published by The Hollywood Reporter on Tuesday (November 13).

“I didn’t truly know Stan Lee. I typically connected with him at comic conventions where I would find myself utterly worn out and growing ragged or weary. It was usually around that time in the day that I would hear a stir in the crowd, and then watch a true rock-star electrify thousands of awaiting fans with the wave of his exuberant, 95-year-old hand. He delighted me every time. “How does he have more energy at 95 than I do at 39?” I would ask myself,” she wrote.

“At a time when the world feels so tragic, I hope Stan’s life and legacy will remind us, today, of the wonders and the hope that still exist among, and within us. I want to keep telling Stan’s stories because I want to keep that spirit alive with him as I carry on angling to ‘skid in sideways’ to my bitter end with as much zeal and panache as Stan managed to. He is an inspiration to me. Live on, Stan. Legends never die.”

Paul Rudd greets the crowd as he hits the stage at the premiere of his hit film Ant-Man And The Wasp held at Toho Cinemas Shinjuku on Tuesday (August 21) in Tokyo, Japan.

The 49-year-old actor was joined at the event by his co-star Evangeline Lilly, director Peyton Reed and hosts Taishi Nakagawa and Daisuke Miyagawa.

While promoting the flick, Paul and Evangeline recently revealed which Avenger would make for the best team-up for Ant-Man and Wasp.

“I would say probably Spider-Man, because we’ve got wasps, ants, and spiders,” Paul expressed. Evangeline said, “See, I was gonna say Mantis for that same reason. Or it could be Black Widow! There’s a lot of insects, but I was sort of thinking it would be really fun to do scenes with Mantis [laughs].”

“Mantis, yeah, yeah. Could be Black Widow,” Paul added.

FYI: Evangeline is wearing a Georges Chakra Couture dress.

J.J. Abrams & 'Lost' Producers Apologize to Evangeline Lilly After Comments About Feeling 'Cornered' on Set

J.J. Abrams and the producers of Lost are responding to Evangeline Lilly‘s comments about feeling “cornered” into filming partially nude scenes during the show.

The Lost actress recently opened up about her experience on the series and how several scenes left her feeling “mortified” and “trembling.”

J.J. says since hearing her comments, he has reached out to personally apologize to Evangeline.

“Our response to Evie’s comments in the media was to immediately reach out to her to profoundly apologize for the experience she detailed while working on Lost. We have not yet connected with her, but remain deeply and sincerely sorry,” he said in a statement to ET.

He added, “No person should ever feel unsafe at work. Period.”

Be sure to read all that Evangeline had to say about the experience.

Evangeline Lilly Was 'Cornered' Into Doing a Partially Nude Scene on 'Lost'

Evangeline Lilly is recalling a painful memory from the set of Lost where she says she was “cornered” into doing a scene with no clothes.

“In season 3, I’d had a bad experience on set with being basically cornered into doing a scene partially naked, and I felt had no choice in the matter,” Evangeline told the Lost Boys podcast on Tuesday (August 1). “And I was mortified and I was trembling when it finished. I was crying my eyes out and I had to go on do a very formidable, very strong scene thereafter.”

“In season 4, another scene came up where Kate was undressing and I fought very hard to have that scene be under my control. And I failed to control it again. So I then said, ‘That’s it, no more. You can write whatever you want — I won’t do it. I will never take my clothes off on this show again.’ And I didn’t.”

Evangeline, who starred on the show from 2004 to 2010, also spoke about her character Kate’s arc.

“At the beginning [Kate] was kinda cool, and then as the show went on, she became more and more predictable and obnoxious. I felt like my character went from being anonymous, really having her own story and her own journey and her own agendas, to chasing to men around the island. And that irritated the s— out of me,” Evangeline said. “I did throw scripts across rooms when I’d read them because I would get very frustrated by the diminishing amount of autonomy that she had and the diminishing amount of her own story that there was to play. There’s nothing wrong with women’s lives being characterized by their relationships. I think that often happens to men and women. But there was this eventual lack of dimension to what was going on with her.”
