Emily Blunt and Ewan McGregor premiere their new movie, Salmon Fishing in the Yemen, on Monday (March 5) at the Directors Guild of America in Los Angeles.

The 29-year-old actress recently opened up about why she passed on parts in two blockbuster films, Iron Man 2 and Captain America.

“Usually the female parts in a superhero film feel thankless: She’s the pill girlfriend while the guys are whizzing around saving the world. I didn’t do the other ones because the part wasn’t very good or the timing wasn’t right, but I’m open to any kind of genre if the part is great and fun and different and a challenge in some way,” Emily told NYMag‘s Vulture.

“I would love to do a comic-book movie or a science-fiction film that would scare the bejesus out of me. Maybe I need to be James Bond!” she added.

Ewan McGregor and his wife, Eve Mavrakis, hit the red carpet at the 2012 Golden Globe Awards held at The Beverly Hilton Hotel on Sunday (January 15) in Beverly Hills, Calif.

The 40-year-old Scottish actor is a presenter at tonight’s ceremony!

Ewan will hit the big screen opposite Emily Blunt in the upcoming British comedy Salmon Fishing in The Yemen, which is scheduled to be released in early March!

The 2012 Golden Globes airs live TONIGHT at 8 pm ET/5 pm PT on NBC. Ricky Gervais hosts for the third time!

Ewan McGregor arrives at LAX Airport with his family on Monday (January 2) in Los Angeles.

The 40-year-old Scottish actor made his way through the terminal with wife Eve Mavrakis and their four daughters, Clara, 15, Esther, 10, Jamiyan, also 10, and their 1-year-old baby girl.

Ewan‘s new film with Emily Blunt, Salmon Fishing in the Yemen, will be opening the Palm Springs International Film Festival this Thursday (January 5).

Two of Ewan‘s other projects – Steven Soderbergh‘s Haywire, co-starring Michael Fassbender and Channing Tatum, and the drama Perfect Sense – will also be shown at the festival.

FYI: Ewan is using his Peg Perego stroller!
