Michael B. Jordan is all smiles as he hits the carpet alongside Sylvester Stallone while attending the premiere of their film Creed II held at AMC Loews Lincoln Square on Wednesday (November 14) in New York City.

The 31-year-old actor and Sylvester, 72, were joined at the event by their co-stars Tessa Thompson, Florian Munteanu, Dolph Lundgren, Michael Buffer and the film’s director Steven Caple Jr.

Also in attendance to show their support was Sylvester‘s wife Jennifer Flavin and daughter Sistine Stallone, Dolph‘s girlfriend Jenny Sandersson and daughter Ida Lundgren, Justine Skye, Omari Hardwick, Brigitte Nielsen and Terrence Jenkins.

Here’s what the Creed II stars had to say…

Dolph, on the current state of U.S.-Russian relations resembling those reflected in Rocky IV: “I do think that marketing-wise it’s quite good.”

Florian, on whether Rocky fans might root for the Dragos this time around: “People are gonna be shocked. They underestimate [Lundgren], underestimate his abilities as an actor. Only see him maybe as ‘badass motherf–ker who wants to destroy everything.’ They’re going to be fascinated about the way he’s playing Ivan Drago now. There will be tears for us.”

Florian, on his “little breakdown” after shooting: “It took me a month to be Florian again. I was telling Dolph: We never smiled once in that movie.”

Michael recently opened up about what he eats for his cheat meals.

“When I’m in Philly, cheesesteaks for sure,” Michael said. He added, “Cheeseburgers. I’m a sandwich guy. I just love burgers and fries. There’s something about it that’s so good. And I’m a cheesecake guy. A lot of cheese.”

The 31-year-old actor was accompanied by his co-star Florian Munteanu and the film’s director Steven Caple Jr. as they introduced the flick ahead of the screening.

In Creed II, Michael reprises his role as Adonis Johnson and must face off against a new opponent, Viktor Drago (Florian), the son of Ivan Drago, who was portrayed by Dolph Lundgren in the 1985 film Rocky IV.

Romanian boxer Florian “Big Nasty” Munteanu has been cast in the role of Ivan Drago’s son in the upcoming movie Creed 2.

The film will follow Michael B. Jordan as “Adonis Creed both inside and outside of the ring as he deals with his newfound fame, issues with his family, and his continuing quest to become a champion,” according to The Tracking Board.

Sylvester Stallone is returning as Rocky while Dolph Lundgren will reprise his role as Ivan Drago, the man who killed Apollo Creed.

“Congratulations to Florian ‘Big Nasty’ Munteanu for getting the part as IVAN DRAGOS son! 6 feet four, 245 pounds of talent,” Stallone wrote on Instagram to confirm the casting.
