Eva Longoria, Edgar Ramirez, & More Stars Attend Cannes Film Festival 2022 Opening Ceremony!

The stars are stepping out for the 2022 Cannes Film Festival!

The Opening Ceremony of the annual film festival took place on Tuesday (May 17) at the Palais des Festivals in Cannes, France.

This year’s film festival is scheduled to run from Tuesday, May 17 through Saturday, May 28 with jurors including Rebecca Hall, Deepika Padukone, and Noomi Rapace.

Tom Cruise will be honored during the festival while his latest movie Top Gun: Maverick is set to be screened ahead of its theatrical release on Friday, May 27.

Leonardo DiCaprio Joins Prince Harry's Campaign to End Oil Drilling in Africa

Prince Harry is teaming up with Leonardo DiCaprio for a good cause.

The 46-year-old Oscar-winning actor, Forest Whitaker and Djimon Hounsou are working with the 37-year-old Duke of Sussex and leading conservationists to call for an end to oil and gas drilling in the Okavango River Basin, per a release release from Re:wild.

Tessa Thompson & Ruth Negga Join Rebecca Hall at 'Passing' Premiere During NYFF

Tessa Thompson walks the red carpet in a chic slip dress for the premiere of her new movie, Passing, during the 2021 New York Film Festival at Alice Tully Hall, Lincoln Center on Sunday (October 3) in New York City.

The 38-year-old actress joined her co-stars Ruth Negga, Forest Whitaker and Rebecca Hall, who also wrote and directed the movie, at the event.

Amber Pickens, Ashley Ware Jenkins, and Andre Holland were also seen on the red carpet.

Adapted from the celebrated 1929 novel of the same name by Nella Larsen, Passing tells the story of two Black women, Irene Redfield (Thompson) and Clare Kendry (Negga), who can “pass” as white but choose to live on opposite sides of the color line during the height of the Harlem Renaissance in late 1920s New York.

Francis Ford Coppola is starting to work on his dream movie, and already knows which A-listers he wants in the project.

The famed director, who was behind the Oscar winning Godfather franchise, opened up about the project, called Megalopolis, which got pushed to the side over other studio projects.

Francis is now saying he’s willing to put up $100 million of his own money to get it made.

Jennifer Hudson Brings Aretha Franklin's Story To Life in 'Respect' Trailer - Watch!

Jennifer Hudson becomes the Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin, in the brand new trailer for Respect.

Here’s a synopsis of the highly anticipated movie: “Following the rise of Aretha Franklin’s career from a child singing in her father’s church’s choir to her international superstardom, Respect is the remarkable true story of the music icon’s journey to find her voice.”

Jennifer is joined in the movie by Forest Whitaker, Marlon Wayans, Audra McDonald, Marc Maron, Tituss Burgess, Kimberly Scott, Saycon Sengbloh, Hailey Kilgore, Heather Headley, Skye Dakota Turner, Tate Donovan and Mary J. Blige.

Respect, directed by Liesl Tommy, had been delayed in its debut due to the pandemic.

It will now premiere in theaters on August 11.

If you didn’t know, one of Jennifer‘s former co-stars also played Aretha in a limited series.

Forest Whitaker Helps Kick Off Holiday Season in 'Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey' Trailer - Watch!

Netflix is kicking off the holiday season early this year!

The streaming site just released the trailer for their upcoming holiday movie Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey starring Forest Whitaker.

Here’s the official synopsis from Netflix: “A musical adventure and a visual spectacle for the ages, Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey is a wholly fresh and spirited family holiday event. Set in the gloriously vibrant town of Cobbleton, the film follows legendary toymaker Jeronicus Jangle (Whitaker) whose fanciful inventions burst with whimsy and wonder. But when his trusted apprentice (Keegan-Michael Key) steals his most prized creation, it’s up to his equally bright and inventive granddaughter (Madalen Mills) — and a long-forgotten invention — to heal old wounds and reawaken the magic within.”

The movie also stars Phylicia Rashad and Anika Noni Rose.

It was recently revealed that this country star also has a Christmas movie coming to Netflix this year!

Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey will be released on Netflix on November 13.

Chadwick Boseman's 'Black Panther' Co-Stars Pay Tribute After His Death

Chadwick Boseman is being remembered by his Black Panther co-stars.

The late actor sadly passed away on Friday (August 28) following a private battle with cancer for the past few years, and Hollywood is mourning the loss of the talented star.

Ahead of ABC’s newly announced airing of Black Panther on Sunday night (August 30), as well as a special dedicated to Chadwick‘s memory, several Black Panther co-stars have already expressed their condolences and heartbreak on social media.

While there are many tributes from many fellow stars, one remembrance of Chadwick by a former bookstore clerk is going especially viral as well.
