It’s a big day for Hilarie Burton and Jeffrey Dean Morgan!
On Saturday (May 5), the 38-year-old actress and the 55-year-old actor celebrated the 12th anniversary of being set up on a blind date by Jeffrey‘s Supernatural co-star and pal Jensen Ackles and wife Danneel Harris-Ackles, who starred on One Tree Hill with Hilarie.

The 54-year-old actor opened up in his interview with Collider about working with Hilarie on the show, as she plays Negan’s wife, Lucille.

Hilarie Burton is speaking out.
The 38-year-old actress opened up on Twitter after seeing a still from One Tree Hill with her honest thoughts about the show.
The photo was of her and co-star Chad Michael Murray, and it appeared in an “adolescent psychology textbook.”
The caption beneath the photo reads: “Adolescents are exposed to sex in many contexts, including TV and the Internet. Is it surprising, then, that adolescents are so curious about sex and tempted to experiment with sex?”
“Embarrassed by this. Teen girl sexuality was a cornerstone of #oth, so its gross to me that there were no women in positions of power there. No one we could turn to to advocate for us. Men telling the stories of girl sexuality is a red flag. I want a do-over with a girl boss,” she wrote in response.
Among the many people who chimed in was co-star Sophia Bush, who wrote “co-sign.”
Later on, guest co-star Kate Voegele also supported the idea: “Me three. I’m breathing a sigh of relief just thinking about a woman making those wardrobe decisions!”

Hilarie Burton looks so different in her role as Lucille in this sneak peek of The Walking Dead‘s season 11.
The 37-year-old actress is set to recur on the final season of the hit AMC show, as Negan’s deceased wife.
The news of her role in the upcoming episodes was revealed earlier this month.
Lucille was married to Negan (played by Hilarie‘s real life husband Jeffrey Dean Morgan) prior to the end of the world, and she was battling cancer.
Hilarie‘s character did ultimately pass away, however, it was just as the zombie virus beginning to spread and she was reanimated as a walker.
AMC just released a sneak peek of the upcoming “bonus” episodes of the show, and if you blink, you might miss Hilarie‘s appearance.
The Walking Dead will return on February 28, 2021 on AMC.

Hilarie Burton has joined the final season of The Walking Dead.
The 38-year-old actress is set to star as the late wife to her real life husband, Jeffrey Dean Morgan‘s character, Negan.
ComicBook.com revealed that AMC announced that Hilarie would play Lucille in a special episode.
In the comics, Negan was married to a woman named Lucille prior to the end of the world, and she was battling cancer.
Negan was depicted as having an extramarital affair, but after Lucille’s diagnosis, he began to spend as much time with his wife as possible, and he called off his affair.
Lucille did pass away, however, it was just as the zombie virus beginning to spread and she was reanimated as a walker.
The Walking Dead is expected to return for six more episodes before wrapping up the series on the network.
Hilarie Burton and Jeffrey Dean Morgan revealed a cute little tidbit about their oldest child, Gus.
During the most recent episode of Friday Night In With The Morgans on AMC, the married couple were speaking to his former The Walking Dead co-star Sonequa Martin-Green, and her husband Kenric Green, who are expecting their second child soon.
As Sonequa and Kenric explained, their first child, Kenric Justin II, has been calling his unborn sister “cute strawberry” which caused Hilarie and Jeffrey to remember what Gus wanted to name his own sister, George, before she was born.
Jeffrey and Hilarie revealed that Gus though “Limousine” was the most beautiful word he could think of.
In another interview, the couple opened up about how long their quarantine show could possibly go on for.
“It’s very bittersweet,” Hilarie shared. “We love spending every Friday night together at home and catching up with friends, but we are also looking forward to getting back into a normal routine like everybody else.”

Hilarie Burton left One Tree Hill in season 6 alongside Chad Michael Murray, and doesn’t regret her decision to leave the popular series.
Speaking with former co-star Jana Kramer on her podcast, Whine Down, the 37-year-old actress shared that her character, Peyton’s storyline came to a close just how she liked it.
“I was very happy with that,” Hilarie shared. “Chad and I had been in the pilot and we had been setting up the whole Lucas—Peyton star cross lovers thing the whole time on the show so I was really happy with that happy ending and the marriage and the baby. The family was complete and that’s what both characters were looking for.”
She added that both characters got the “nuclear family that they had always been craving. And frankly, I was a little concerned that if I stayed on the show, it would get messed with for dramatic purposes. Sometimes, it’s better to cut out in a good spot.”
“I don’t regret that at all,” Hilarie added. “I knew that I needed to start something new. It was time. I had a big chip on my shoulder and I just needed to put it down.”
Lucas and Peyton departed the series in season 6 with their baby and weren’t seen on the show after that again.
