Hocus Pocus 2 is coming!

The highly anticipated sequel to Hocus Pocus has just wrapped filming, and producer Adam Shankman is teasing the release date.

“SISTAAAAAHHHHSSS! Aaaaand that’s a WRAP!!! #hocuspocus2,” he captioned a photo on his Instagram of a silhouette of the three stars.

“Congratulations to the amazing team @bettemidler @sarahjessicaparker @kathynajimy @567and8 @mrsleshem and the WHOOOOLLLEEEE cast and crew!!!” he continued before teasing the release date: “Coming to you #halloween #2022 on @disneyplus.”

Here’s the plot synopsis: In Hocus Pocus 2, three young women accidentally bring the Sanderson Sisters back to modern day Salem and must figure out how to stop the child-hungry witches from wreaking a new kind of havoc on the world.

Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy film more scenes for Hocus Pocus 2 on Wednesday evening (November 17) in Newport, Rhode Island.

The trio are reprising their fan favorite roles as the Sanderson sisters in the new movie, set to be released on Disney+ next year. They have been hard at work filming, and these are the second set of set photos we’ve gotten this week!

In Hocus Pocus 2, the film will “see three young women accidentally bringing the Sanderson Sisters back to modern-day Salem and must figure out how to stop the child-hungry witches from wreaking a new kind of havoc on the world.”

Whitney Peak, Lilia Buckingham, Belissa Escobedo, Doug Jones, Tony Hale, Sam Richardson, Hannah Waddingham, Juju Brener, Froy Gutierrez, Taylor Henderson and Nina Kitchen will also star in the movie.

Filming for Hocus Pocus 2 is underway and we have some set photos of the three stars – Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy – getting to work!

They were seen in full costume as the Sanderson sisters on Monday night (November 15) in Newport, Rhode Island. It was a freezing cold night and the stars were seen bundled up between takes.

Disney+ has released the first official look at the ladies back in action and you can see that pic right here.

Winifred, Mary and Sarah Sanderson are officially back!

The very first pic of Bette Midler, Kathy Najimy and Sarah Jessica Parker as the famed witches has been released for Hocus Pocus 2, in honor of Disney+ day.

The movie, which has been in development for quite a few years, will start filming later this year, for a release in 2022.

Disney is making some big announcements!

The company announced the release dates and details for highly anticipated and brand new titles coming to Disney+ during Disney Plus Day on Friday (November 12).

The streaming service is celebrating its two year anniversary, and previously announced a big celebration set for the day.

Hocus Pocus 2 is coming, and a lot of new faces are joining the cast!

The highly anticipated sequel, which features original stars Sarah Jessica Parker, Bette Midler and Kathy Najimy, just added a bunch of new stars to the production, Disney revealed on Halloween (October 31).

“The black flame candle is alight to the Sanderson sisters’ delight. Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, & Kathy Najimy shall soon return. Joined by new faces which you soon will learn,” they wrote.

“Joining the cast are Whitney Peak, Lilia Buckingham, Belissa Escobedo, Doug Jones, Tony Hale, Sam Richardson, Hannah Waddingham, Juju Brener, Froy Gutierrez, Taylor Henderson and Nina Kitchen.”

Hocus Pocus 2 arrives on Disney+ in Fall of 2022.
