Tom Cruise stepped outside of his comfort zone while making an appearance on the final episode of James Corden‘s The Late Late Show!

James has gone skydiving and flown in a fighter jet with Tom in the past, but it was finally time for Tom to do something that is more James‘ style.

For the final episode, James got Tom to appear in a performance of The Lion King stage musical for one night only at the Pantages Theatre in Los Angeles.

Tom played Pumbaa while James played Timon for a “Hakuna Matata” rendition, which was performed after the curtain call.

James Corden‘s The Late Late Show is wrapping up is ending tonight after 8 years on the air.

He just gave an interview on SiriusXM’s The Howard Stern Show where he revealed some fun info including the three guests he wishes they had booked on Carpool Karaoke (one of which is Beyonce, and we also found out why that never panned out.) He also spoke about his friendships with Adele and Harry Styles and more.

The Late Late Show with James Corden is about to come to an end, and the final guests have just been announced.

James Corden‘s long run hosting the late night TV series will officially come to an end after eight years on CBS at the end of April.

James Corden channels his inner Gene Kelly for a parody of Singin’ In The Rain while filming a segment for an upcoming Carpool Karaoke episode in Los Angeles on Friday (April 14).

The 44-year-old recruited pals Josh Gad and Jane Krakowski for the show, where they were dressed up as literal rainy clouds for the number.

In addition to the Singin’ In The Rain segment, James, Jane and Josh were also seen with a big Music Man tribute.

The trio dressed up in glitzy, blue and white marching band uniforms for the number that was performed on Beverly Dr.

Josh and James were also seen chatting on the sidewalk ahead of an opening number scene for the upcoming episode.

Fans of One Direction lit up the internet following rumors that Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan and Zayn Malik were planning to get the band back together for the final episode of James Corden‘s The Late, Late Show.

Reports suggested that all five members would be appearing on the show, where they made multiple cameos over the years.

It would have marked their first big group appearance since Zayn went solo in 2015. The remaining members of the band went on hiatus later that year.

Since then, they’ve all pursued solo careers and had some small reunions over the years. However, this would have been the first time that all five of the guys were together again. So is there any truth to the rumor?
