Rachel Zegler has released a formal apology after she received tons of backlash for the dramatic reading she did of Britney Spears‘ tweets.
The 20-year-old West Side Story actress performed a monologue of Britney‘s tweets directed at her younger sister Jamie Lynn Spears.
One person tweeted, “Rachel Zegler — people aren’t all of a sudden not liking her just bc it’s trendy. She took someone’s trauma & did a weird ass monologue for her own pleasure.”

Britney Spears has written another open letter to her sister Jamie Lynn Spears and this time she’s expressing a range of emotions.
The 40-year-old “Baby One More Time” singer took back the previous comment she made about Jamie Lynn being a “scum person,” but she also said that her sister’s recent remarks don’t make sense to her at all.
In her new post, Britney accused Jamie Lynn of doing “absolutely nothing” to help get her out of the conservatorship until she publicly said something on Instagram a year ago.
Throughout the post, Britney expressed love for her sister and ended the letter by saying, “I admire you for being strong … just know I love you and I think you know that already more than anything!!!”

On Friday, the 40-year-old Glory performer called out her younger sister for an alleged incident she recounted in her new memoir, Things I Should Have Said, where she claimed Britney had once pulled a knife out and locked them both in a room.
“Jamie Lynn… congrats babe You’ve stooped to a whole new level of LOW,” she wrote in part, adding: ” I do know only a scum person would make up such things about someone.”
Later that day, Jamie Lynn shared a post that seemingly referenced Britney‘s comments.

Jamie Lynn Spears is firing back.
Earlier this week, the 30-year-old Zoey 101 actress made an appearance on Good Morning America to promote her new memoir, Things I Should Have Said, and opened up about the turmoil between she and big sister Britney Spears.
During the interview, Jamie Lynn talked about the 40-year-old entertainer’s conservatorship, saying that she “went out of my way to make sure that [Britney] had the contacts she needed to possibly go ahead and end this conservatorship.”
The day after the interview aired, Britney shared a lengthy statement on social media, once again slamming her sister, saying that Jamie Lynn is only talking about her in order to sell her books, before adding that Jamie Lynn has “never had to work for anything.”
Several hours after Britney shared her thoughts, Jamie Lynn shared a message responding to her older sister’s comments.
