Kirsten Dunst Replaces Elisabeth Moss in Jane Campion Film

Kirsten Dunst has joined the cast of the upcoming movie The Power of the Dog, which will be released by Netflix in 2021.

The film will be directed by Jane Campion and Elisabeth Moss was originally set to star in it, but she had to drop out due to scheduling conflicts with The Handmaid’s Tale, according to Variety.

The outlet reports that the movie “follows two wealthy brothers who are polar opposites. Paul Dano portrays a man who is fastidious and gentle, while his brother, played by Benedict Cumberbatch, is brilliant and cruel. They are joint owners of the biggest ranch in the Montana valley. When Dano’s character secretly marries a local widow (Dunst), Cumberbatch wages a sadistic, relentless war to destroy her by using her son as a pawnpo.”

The movie will be released in both theaters and on Netflix’s streaming service.

Nicole Kidman Wants To Utilize Her Australian Accent More in Hollywood!

Nicole Kidman is opening up about wanting the opportunity to use her Australian accent more in her films.

“In my next film [The Upside] I got to use my own accent again, something I want to do more of. I said, ‘I think she’d be better as an Australian’ and Kevin Hart and Bryan Cranston looked at me weirdly, as the role was written as an American, but Harvey Weinstein [producer and film studio boss] said, ‘Yep, she’s Australian’,” the 50-year-old actress told the Sydney Morning Herald while attending the premiere of her latest series Top of the Lake: China Girl held at Sydney Opera House on Monday (August 1) in Sydney.

“I would like to. I love being here and being apart of this industry. I love being able to use my own accent,” Nicole added. “I got off the plane and I came to rehearsal and I just felt so at ease and relaxed and at home. We have good food, good conversation, then we rehearsed and played rigorously.”

Nicole was joined at the premiere by creator Jane Campion, as well as co-stars Alice Englert, Lincoln Vickery, Clayton Jacobson, director Ariel Kleiman and writer Gerard Lee.

FYI: Nicole is wearing a Zuhair Murad couture gown. Alice is wearing an Acne Studios dress.
