Mariska Hargitay gets to work on location for Law & Order: SVU in Washington Square Park in New York City on Tuesday afternoon (November 30).
The 57-year-old actress joined co-stars Ice-T, Kelli Giddish and Jason Biggs as they filmed new scenes for an upcoming episode of the long running procedural show.
While on set, Mariska was seen helping out production by getting a singer to halt his performance for a few moments while they filmed a shot.
Via Variety, according to bystanders, a passerby continually disrupted production by loudly singing on purpose.
It was then that Mariska took matters into her own hands and haggled with him.
“Your singing was beautiful, but we’re just trying to get the shot,” she told him in a video that was shared showrunner Warren Leight. “Is it okay if you don’t sing when we say ‘action?’”
Most of their exchange couldn’t be heard, but Mariska does agree to the singer’s request.
“I’m happy to do that for you, it’s just that we’re shooting, so it doesn’t work for the scene. Is that okay? I’ll get to you, though.”
What other #1 on the call sheet could do this?
We all ❤️ @Mariska https://t.co/NBYR2TqMED
