Tiger King's Carole Baskin Has Been Awarded Control of Joe Exotic's Zoo

Carole Baskin has been awarded control over the zoo that was operated by Joseph Maldonado-Passage, who is known as Joe Exotic.

The Oklahoma zoo, G.W. Exotic Animal Memorial Park, has been under the control of Jeff Lowe, but now Baskin has been granted control by a judge, according to Fox 25.

It was reported that the zoo was fraudulently transferred to Joe Exotic‘s mother years ago to keep it out of reach from creditors, including Baskin‘s Big Cat Rescue.

Lowe now has 120 days to vacate the premises and remove all of his animals from the property.

The Netflix documentary series Tiger King explored the rivalry between Carole Baskin and Joe Exotic and how he went to jail for allegedly plotting to kill her. He was sentenced to 22 years in prison back in 2019 after being convicted for paying a hitman $3,000 to kill Baskin.

Jimmy Fallon Is Not a 'Tiger King' Fan, Despite That Funny Spoof

Jimmy Fallon may have done a funny spoof of Tiger King this week on his show, but that doesn’t mean that the talk show host is a fan of the docu-series.

The 45-year-old comedian opened up about the show in a new interview.

“I tried it. My wife got out quickly. She was like, ‘It’s not for me,’” Jimmy told People. “I watched because everyone else was watching. I thought I might have to spoof it. But it got a little depressing for me around like, the fourth episode.”

“I was like, ‘I’m already depressed now.’ I need something funny. I need something that’s going to make me laugh,” he added. “This is not really making me laugh.”

Jimmy says that he was not able to finish the series. He said, “I just didn’t see it. It wasn’t steering towards an awesome ending.”

Earlier this week, Jimmy played Nicolas Cage as Joe Exotic. If you didn’t know, the actor will be playing the tiger king in an upcoming scripted series.

Miranda Lambert Explains How She Met Joe Exotic After Sharing Throwback Photo

Miranda Lambert is speaking out about the backlash for the throwback photo with Joe Exotic that she shared on her Instagram.

After sharing the photo on her social media pages, the 36-year-old country singer revealed the backstory of their meeting and how it wasn’t at his zoological park.

“During Hurricane Harvey, the MuttNation Team went to Houston to help relocate existing shelter dogs to free up shelter space for animals separated by their owners,” Miranda shared.

She continued that MuttNation had “asked for volunteers who could transport some dogs from Houston to shelters in Oklahoma, where there was more room and they could be treated and adopted/ Some guy named Joe volunteered his trailer and staff. Now I know it’s ‘Joe Exotic.’”

“I’ve never been to his zoo and I didn’t even know he had tigers,” Miranda emphasized. “OBVIOUSLY I’d never condone animals being treated badly.”

Tiger King, which brought Joe Exotic to more fame, is streaming on Netflix now.
